(I also got the dutch translated.)

"When you step through, you discover (another) decorated room with somewhat special walls. There's an expansive scene on the wall that seems to worship Mantorok as the god of harvest. Edwin had mentioned that. In the middle of the room there are three pillars, each with another shape in the middle. Edwin and you first approach carefully, but it becomes clear you'll have to insert something.

Of course the first idea is to search the room, and of course it doesn't take long for Edwin to find the first shape. It is one of the runes, which Edwin mentions refers to Ulyaoth, the one with the deepest connection to magic and the greatest threat to Mantorok.

Mantorok has control over the thoughts and the body, but magic remains difficult for that thing. You'll have to find some more runes throughout the temple if you want to continue beyond here. You also notice an indentation in the middle of the three small pilars: the sign of Mantarok. It looks like a lock. The puzzle is easy enough, but finding the puzzle pieces will be more difficult.

Something's not right, but... "

With that in mind, I'll still vote for evade, but only until we figure out the right way past that doesn't screw us all or hand this universe to Mantorok.  Whoever is in the third pillar probably branwhacked us.

You elect to book it as fast as possible, and attempt to hide rather than try to open the lock as soon as possible. Alexia rushes past Edwin with a rapid wallrun, not taking the chances of getting slowed down by running him over. It's a small mercy, all things considered. Edwin isn't a fast runner, though. You hope he finds a way to hide, though Alexia couldn't give less of a shit. You turn on soulsight, which is... weird. It's a separate vision from what Alexia sees, and you can tell from the slight switch that you're viewing with one of your extra eyes along your forehead. The ones at the top, usually covered with hair, but soulsight is a bit beyond that simple things like hair getting in the way. You can see the lich's soul, twisted beyond belief by the ancient. He's slow, fortunately. Less because of any physical ability, and more because he knows he has time to spare. Nothing's worse than something that thinks it's invincible, and it's a bit worse when that might be true. But...
Then again, the bullets still removed his disguise, and you could get through to it with a blast of magic (retaliations aside). It's not invincible, but still quite a few leagues above you. A lich is damn difficult opponent in your own world, but in this world they're pretty much unstoppable.
With your size in mind, Alexia does what she can and climbs up in the second room, hiding just above the door. With a little luck, the lich won't look up as it enters the room. It's a bit of a slim chance, but it'll have to do.

His first stop is in the room with the locks in place, if you can see that right. You hear some rumblings, and the faint whispers of a spell in there. He must have blocked it in some regard. You didn't see Edwin go through the passage where you're hiding over, you hope he got out. Alexia doesn't care quite as much. Then, the lich enters the first room of the side-passage. He looks around for a while, and you can hear the tapping of his staff come closer and closer. You and Alexia don't dare breathe, and as the lich enters, he stops right at the doorway.
Flee if you wish, creature. Finding you is but a matter of time.
Bastard.
He steps forward a little more and begins scanning the walls, the ceiling...
That's the point you remember that you were wall-crawling when he first saw you. He WOULD know to look on the walls. And you're too big to sneak away through the passage. So, you elect to try the next best thing you can think of.
Dropping down the wall, Alexia plants her demon hand on top of the lich's skull and forces it down. Despite the frail looks of the lich, it doesn't go down even with all your weight, and all you do is force it to bend forward. Before the surprise wears off, there is a second attempt to distract it. A quick turn allows Alexia to try and sting the lich, and after a very sharp and very painful shock throughout your body, three things are now clear.
One: No, you can't get past the lich's leathery, magic-backed hide.
Two: Despite that, you are still very strong, and there is a LOT of power behind your stings.
Three: it hurts like an absolute motherfucker when your stinger breaks.

Before the lich can get over the surprise, you elect to run like hell. With the runes in hand, you get ready to pop this thing open and get the hell out!
Edwin is already in the room, casting a spell to do away with the defences the lich set up. Seems like he managed to hide in the first room, somehow. You don't share more than a glanca as you place the runes into the slots and hear a collection of gears shift.
Then, the lich steps through the door.
MotherFUCKER! Edwin yells. The walls are shifting open, but it's not nearly fast enough...
Distract him! I can bind him if I can just get a moment!
HOW THE FUCK SHOULD I DO THAT!?
This is pointless. Surrender, and I will make your deaths quick.

The wall is open far enough for Edwin to squeeze through, but he seems to be waiting around for your sake. You need a way to distract the lich, but you don't have much options...

Are you feeling it now, Mr. Krabs?

Edit: I accidentally gave Edwin the eldritch solid colour voice. Don't worry, he's still just a human with a shotgun.

Okay, been sitting on this one for a bit, was hoping to not have to do it.

"Pointless, how?"

Ask question.

Cut off a piece of one of our legs, animate piece, and throw it at the lich.  Then undead flashbang to the face.

I don't know how we get out of here okay.  We've got to get Mantorok to give up hostages, or free the hostages from whoever controls them here, and then get home.  We'll probably need someone friendly here to send us home, either Edwin or one of the various gods here.  We'll also need to make sure we get the prisoners from whoever holds them, which is probably Mantorok, but the names could be messed up here.

Fuck it. Who needs caution and respect for danger. Back's to the wall, may as well COMMIT.

"EDWIN! Enchant my weapon, NOW!"

Syphoning cloud. Advance into the cloud. Ram dao his face.

"You will KNEEL to me, WORM!"

Act confident. If he stops to laugh and gloat at our exuberance, quickly force a leech into his mouth...

I don't think siphoning will work against the undead.

Wait. Why cut off our leg, when we have a perfectly serviceable bone scimitar that we could try to make go flashboom? Though, failing that we may as well attempt to DOOMbolt him.

I'm game for the bone scimitar, then.  That's a better option.

Explosive scimitar GO, Francine was more right about it than we could give her credit

between syphoning cloud and smoke I think that smoke cloud can work better, we can see him through soul vision, he needed to scan walls with his eyes looking for us so he is not oniscient

dark souls time, the boss is above our league, there is no tanking. Hit and run around him, use our speed in erratic moves, strike where it looks that is the catalists of fonts to his magics, we have enough knowledge where to hit that can maybe damage his body and slow him down

We should go, though, and not engage.  Edwin is holding the door open for us, no need to go for the kill.  If we end up depowering lich's boss, that'll probably depower the lich some and make it easier.

Ask the lich "how is a bone similar to a flashbang?" before tossing, just to fuck with him.

Alright, throw the bone scimitar. And blow it the hell up.
Oh, I love it when you do that! HEY, BONEBOY! EAT SHIT!
You would have preferred something a tad more clever, but Alexia isn't exactly an intellectual powerhouse. About as witty and deep as a kiddy pool filled with particularly stupid cement. But, the good news is, magic still works fine, irregardless of who's in control. Even better, the throw was absolutely perfect thanks to Alexia's general physical ability. The sad part is that the scimitar is stopped just a bit before hitting the lich itself, who is keeping it afloat with telepathy. There is a hollow laugh echoing through the room, and into your mind itself.
Then the scimitar explodes into blinding light, after applying a little mana to turn into a technical minion. You're fairly certain this is essentially a new spell, even though it's as simple as controlling a piece of dead tissue with a slightly different spell from the usual. But, the scholarly aspect aside, it did seem to work. The lich is yelling in frustration, clearly blinded and stunned from the sudden approach. There's a few shards of bone that flew around, as well, though you doubt they're at speeds that could actually harm anything, let alone the lich. Still, nice little added effect. You then hear a sudden booming noise from the right of you, and then Edwin sprints past you into the passage.
I will FLAY you for THAT!
Fuck you and eat a dick!
Classy.
Hah! It pissed him off, didn't it?
Not really a positive feat.

The passageway is thin, but you just barely manage to fit. When you manage to crawl out of there, the atmosphere is... clearly different. There's a sort of pressure here that makes you uncomfortable to the extreme. A purple barrier appears from behind you, and there are whispers from all around you
And meat.
So much god-damn meat.
Eyes and purple flesh spread from all around, covering the walls in limited amounts, and forming a sea of it down below.
My god... Mantorok.
The eyes that are able to are staring right at the two of you. There is a room at the far end, but you're not quite sure if you want to risk going across the thin-looking hallways next to the mass of meat and teeth. It moves and writhes in a way that is wholly uncomfortable.
What the lich seeks has to be in that chamber. Mantorok must be obfuscating its own position, so what better place to hide it! Come on, we're nearly to the end of the journey!
YOUR journey, where are the hostages!
A sudden myriad of screams make that clear in an instant. From dark depths above, a massive cage filled with all manner of people is starting to lower over the waiting maw of Mantorok. The central mass is the most toothy, and there's no doubt that whatever falls in there is to be lost forever...
Fuck! That's my god-damn goal! This purple FUCK is going to eat my prize!
I... What could have brought them here!? Feeding them to Mantorok would strengthen it, there's no...
Damn it! There's no way to reach them!
...The far end! There might be something in the room, a mechanism of some kind! Come on!
You and Edwin sprint past the room, the danger of the uncountable eyes and maws forgotten. The room opens up, and inside...
Nothing but the decaying corpse of a girl. Then, the eyes begin glowing, and a voice, hollow like that of the liche, reverberates in your mind

Do not touch the heart, flesh and bone! Lest you become like me! A dead, rotted husk. I have waited many centuries for you, it was not easy, hiding from the dark ones. The heart was inside my dead body, but I was forced to find refuge here. You must seal the heart, so it never touches your flesh.
What... Is this what Augustus was after?
Indeed. You must take it to the Gathering of Light. Take the heart there, or the world will be placed under Eternal Darkness! The veil of reality can only be pulled back so far, mortal!
The corpse begins tomove, jamming her dessicated hand inside her chest and tearing out a purple, diseased-looking heart.
Take your stand, and fight the darkness!
The corpse stops moving. While that was very dramatic, it sure as shit didn't help you out. All there is is some kind of eldritch artifact that you shouldn't even touch. What can you even do with that?
What the hell happens next?

I expected the lich encounter to be way more extended, but a flashbang was just such a solid idea I couldn't NOT use it. And, well, it's a flash in the pan sort of deal.

Let Edwin handle the heart; I believe he said that he can seal the lich, so he can seal the heart as well. It is his quest, after all. He should have the tools to fix it, that's just how these things work.

Naturally, we have a way to solve our quest as well. Start spinning webs to keep the cage from falling any farther. It's above us, right? Use wall climbing to get up there and start attaching lines to the cave walls. Look for a way to open the cage, as well. If we can get it open, we can always carry the prisoners out one by one, if it comes to that.

Work quickly, though!

Give a bit of our silk first, we could just decorate the glove that he is using or something, it may protect him against the chaotic magic

Better idea, dead girl's job isn't done yet. Raise her corpse and take her with us. Give her a basic command to do whatever Edwin wants her to do, if he needs her to do anything at all. We've got friends and family to save!

Though, Edwin did mention that there might be some kind of stopping mechanism. We may want to seek that out before hopping onto a cage that may or may not support our weight.
