You have to keep running, for now. That cannon can shear you in HALF, and you're not excited about that little prospect. You're glad you can move while winded, at least. That punch took a lot out of you, which gives a little context to how bad that cannon must be. You're not even sure what it's firing! It looks like a cannonball, sure, but it's covered in blue energy of some sorts! What IS this?
GOT YOU!You narrowly dodge another one of those shots as he swings out from the staircase and just launches it down the hallway. He misses entirely, sending the projectile bouncing and sliding against walls, leaving blue, glowing energy behind. To your dismay, the blue glow quickly begins to ignite! This stuff is flammable!? Another electronic whine, and you just barely duck inside one of the apartments! They tore this place up, and there's a hole through the drywall right into the next room over. Not too keen on getting getting obliterated, you keep on moving through there just as the orc blasts the door apart with a shoulder charge, steam hissing from his augmentations. He roars like a maniac, clearly enjoying himself. But if he's going to be like that...
You rush through the doorway, hoping to ambush as he rushes out the door, but you knock over a saint holding a much longer gun! They're catching up! In a risky move, you drop your sword and pick up the gun, instead. There's some sort of pump at the front, but there's no time to think! Another cannonshot flies a little past you, flying out the window! To make matters worse, some more Saints are coming up the stairs, wielding all manner of melee weapons. You blast the gun at them, and to your surprise they are ALL blasted away. This must be a shotgun! You pump the thing at the front as you keep running, blessing your body for letting you keep steady as you run. You turn the corner, to the next collection of stairs! You rush up before the orc can launch another shot.
The roof is a bit higher here, maybe...
You crawl up the walls, and "crouch" as you hang there, just barely not visible through the doorframe. You're grateful for these staircases having such massive steps, and just as the orc rushes through, you drop down on top of him! The weight of your body, bolstered by the element of surprise, knocks the titanic cyborg to the floor! Before he can retaliate, you sting him in his fleshy side. Luckily, the pain distracts him enough to stop him from punching you away, which would likely have killed you. Risky, risky, risky!
You keep on running before he does anything else, but not before blasting at him with that shotgun you stole. He shouts again, just as you hear a fleshy bursting sound. You keep running up the stairs, stopping at floor number four to rush through. You already hear the thundering footsteps of the orc, and more importantly his swearing and threatening.
I'LL FUCKIN' KILL YA SLOW FER THAT!Seems like you at least rattled him. You use another blast of the shotgun to make him flinch again as you keep on rushing. You rack another shell just in time for one straggler (seems like your companions didn't kill all of the guards!) to come out wielding a pistol! You blast him away, tearing his torso open with such a close-ranged shot! Another shell clatters to the floor as you keep on running, dodging another cannon shot from the sounds of it. You notice smoke coming through the floorboards as you continue through this apartment. There is a dead man with a pig mask bound to chair in the middle, and you discover that the door is locked!
DAMN DAMN DAMN!
You think of something, but too late! The orc stomps in the room and rushes forward with his pneumatic fists. You just barely dodge the charge, and he blows the door off it's hinges! At nearly pointblank, you blast the shotgun at him! It doesn't do much more than make him fall back a little, just enough to let you rush through the doorway. You must have hit him on the head, how isn't he dead yet!? But...
Just as he storms out the door again, you throw the two yellow bottles Sucy gave you against him. With a comforting wave of noise, you know they exploded properly, at least. You can duck into the next staircase as he recovers. You dump the other two potions, leaving you with the "mystery" potion. You keep on moving. You've got to meeting up with your companions soon, right!?
You do the same thing as usual, duck inside the room. Fortunately, it's empty. Dead guards show that your companions went through here. You pick up another weapon, left by the side of the guard. Another rifle, no pump. The trigger guard seems to be moving. Like a lever?
The orc enters the room, and you fire your shot. You hit him straight in the head, this time! His mechanical eye shatters apart as he yells, but that cannon gives you enough reason to keep on moving. He's starting to slow down! You'll take him down yet! Fiddling with the gun as you continue the usual way of moving through the hole in the drywall, you eventually find the lever ejects the spent casing. Right. That'll work.
The rest of the saints aren't following any more, guessing from the amount of smoke you can see (and smell) you figure it's because the building's on FIRE. And still that orc is firing his damned cannon!
You keep on running, smashing your way inside the next room with your shoulder. Another guard! You aim and pull the trigger, but the slide merely cocks to the back! Out of shells!
Desperately, you bash the guard with the butt of the gun, and keep on running before he finishes pulling out his revolver. Fortunately, they seem to consistently break open the drywall between every room. Bigger rooms, you're guessing, as you punch a second guard. You go out into the hallway again, and...
GOTCHA NOW!He didn't follow. The cannon blasts off, and you only barely twitch out of the way.
Not enough.
You feel like you blacked out for a moment there, time seemed to move without you in it. Despite that, you seem to be a bit further away than you were before. Just...Where are you?
Where is it.
There it is.
You pick up your arm off the floor, staring at it in disbelief. The stump looks like it's been burnt shut, still glowing blue softly.
Then you feel cold, metal fingers around your neck as the orc picks you up.
I PROMISED SLOW. He's bleeding. His face looks ruined, his torso is torn open where you stung him. You can't feel your arm, but...
You unhook the final potion, and jam it into his open wound. it explodes just as you pull your hand out, and he drops you. Even though his fingers are off your neck, you still can't breathe. You stumble back a bit, and see the orc convulsing where he stands. A faint, purple smoke appears around him, and out of every single orifice, he begins to bleed as he claws at his neck. The metal creaks and bends inwards, until finally with an alltogether horrifying *CRACK*, he is forced into a small ball of meat and metal, no larger than a soccer ball.
He's dead.
Hahahaaa
But where's your arm?
You hear Sucy yelling something as you fall to the ground, your face slack and your vision fading. Everything's so heavy, and you just need a nap.
wake me when it's over

When you awaken, you see Meandra crying next to you. You seem to be back at the mansion, none the worse for wear, even! Your clothing's off, though, and you're got a collection of bandages around yourself. Just as you're about to raise your left arm to make Meandra aware that you're awake, you suddenly realize that what you FEEL certainly doesn't go together with what you see.
Just a bit below the shoulder, you can see a bandaged stump.
