My current fortress is "Ghostmire the Abbey of Searing". It was settled in the name of the civilisation The Rosy Good Lash (a name which conjures images of sore bumcheeks, for some reason).

Custom: The Doomed Blacktower of Death. It was a appropriate name, as the location had a chasm, a cave, and
a volcano all filled with monsters. I sent everyone on a suicidal mission to kill the kobold spearmaster and
they didn't even damage him at all. Good times.

My very first successful and functional fort's name was Raglung.

They are currently inhabited by a group called the Mechanisms of Allegiances.

I had to repress the urge to put in a couple of supers and megas into the fortress name though...

Aah, shoot, I can't remember its name off-hand. The group that founded it was The Cloudy Mirror or something like that, randomly. I liked that group name a lot. My next group was "The Ferocious Seal". I thought it was awesome until I realized that "Seal" didn't refer to an animal.

That was it! "The Ferocious Seal" founded "Ghostgem" (which I changed to "Ghostgem The Legendary Castle of Wind", it was to be an attempt at making a sky-city, in the arctic. Everybody burned to death in a lava flood.)

Edit: Due to one dwarf not getting out of the way of the lava flow in time. I then saw everyone else charge down after his belongings- "Wait," I thought, "I have seen this happen countless times, especially in fabled Boatmurdered! Such lessons were well learned, and I will act quickly to prevent such tragedy from happening once more!" Sadly I didn't realize I forgot to pause before having my little monologue, and everybody died trying to get my liar dwarf's burning pants.

EditAgain: Scratch that, this new fort wins. "The Diamond of Wanderers" founded "Skytool". Sadly, I made the region and the fort with my wrong Dwarf Fortress version, I wanted a vanilla, unmodded fort. Oh well...
