Hey that's the fun thing about DF. You really can put just about anything you want in it. DF Hack makes even more things possible, but the lack of guides and documentation makes it a very difficult thing to get in to. I'm trying to make a bunch of stuff myself. I think the easiest things to start off with is just animals and stuff. Teaches you to deal with bodies and creature tokens. Fun stuff.

How does DF Hack help with making mods? I might try it for what I'm making.

DFHack allows you to create and run scripts, which gives you more freedom than just editing the raws.

Is it possible to make new sites, by the way? (Like, making more variants of hamlets, forts and towns for modded races to reside in them)

Oh, k. How do I get modded races to have their own places, then? I mean, I could put modded evil civs in Darf Fortresses, but if I did that, then every Dark Fort would become OP and nearly-impossible to enter in Adventure Mode...

I think you have it backwards. If you give a civ dark fortresses, that'll make the civ build dark fortresses, it won't make dark fortresses hold the civ, if you get me.
