No Dwarf Fortress tonight guys. Incredibly sorry. Currently trying to recover data on my 2 TB HDD, including the DF save. I might do something late tonight if my computer doesn't try to dick with me again, but no promises.

So, bad news: I got most of my personal files out of my HDD, but the Dwarf Fortress (and M&B) save is corrupted and can't be recovered. Deathkey died to the logic of its world exploding in a paroxysm of confusion.

SO HERE'S WHAT I'M GOING TO DO: Once I'm back up and ready to run (at least my system is stable!) I'm going to start a new fort. I'll be taking recommendations for fortress ideas, but since I want to start ASAP I'm going to throw 'arctic' and 'terrifying biome' into the hat, and add on as people send in ideas.

I'd like to say I'm going to be streaming tonight, but apart from real life stuff I still have to load up a ton of programs onto my computer and re-do my recording setup. COME HELL OR HIGH WATER, you'll see me on Wednesday for M&B, even if it's just a picture of me boring holes through a wall with a thousand-yard stare. Thursday I'll do a special 'Get a New World's Shit In Gear' stream, then I'll be gone over the weekend to go visiting family for Christmas.

Again, I am really sorry I lost the save file. I'm going to be looking into an additional cloud-based backup solution so this sort of crap doesn't happen again. The good news, at least, is that I'm taking this opportunity to tweak my hardware and software while working from the blackened ground up, so I can deliver the best stream quality I can.

Honestly, I doubt it would last long enough to get a serious story going, and I don't want to tarnish the epic legend of Spearbreakers and Syrupleaf.

Maybe like a joke, alternate universe version of Parasol, riddled with incompetence and a strange fondness for cheese?

I've used the OBA in most of my RPs, but it wasn't until Doomforests that I ironed out the details.

Maybe in a future fortress? Here's what I've got for right now:

An arctic fortress (must be on tundra/glacier/ocean and be freezing).
A fortress near a volcano.
A fortress in a terrifying biome.
Only source of food is cheese. Cheese forever. Drink can be anything.
Fortress name must be related to dairy products or aftereffects of lactose intolerance.

I'm going to be finishing up my re-re-do of all my channel art this week; unfortunately the holidays were a total wash as far as getting everything back on track after loosing most of my data storage information.
