The Duke of my fortress doesn't even live in it

What can I do to solve this? When my Duchess died it passed on to that guy and I really want the Duke of my fortress to be in my actual fortress. What am I doing wrong? How can I solve this? are there any DF Hack solutions?

Doing wrong? Nothing. Everything is proceeding better than expected.

More seriously, they must migrate the fort, either as migrant or visitor→resident.

Or more callously, if your duchess had any other heirs living at your fortress, you could temporarily retire your fortress to kill the current duke and any other heirs living elsewhere.
