Grave Robber
« on: November 29, 2016, 02:38:45 pm »

Okay this will be a (hopefully) rather simple game. 1 Player will be the Cemetry Keeper, attempting to ensure that none of the graves are looted. 4 Players will take the roles of Grave Robbers acting independently to get as much cash as possible out there without getting themselves killed. A night is divided into turns, durign which the cemetry keeper, his helpers and the grave robbers and their helpers go about the graveyard doing their business, the night ends once the last graverobber has left or died. Afterwards you can buy new items, sell off your loot, hire helpers and minions and a dozen other things but we will get to that.

Cemetry Keeper
You get Money for each killed or captured grave robber...more for a captured one.

Name:
What were you before you took up this profession?
Soldier
Thieftaker
Siege-Engineer
Strange Erudite - Warning extremely hard start

Grave Robbers
You get differing amounts of money and things from the graves you loot. Usually the more worthwhile graves are further towards the center of the graveyard.

Name:
What is your profession?
Fence
Thief
Highwayman
Impoverished Nobleman - Warning potentially hard start
Nobleman with Ghoulish Desires - only one allowed at any given point, hardest start.

Cemetery Keeper
Name: Christo the Siege-Engineer

Our dead are besieged, night after night! The urge to desecrate lurks in the heart of every degenerate, and must be stopped by castle walls! Moats! Boiling oil! More walls! Maybe some pyramids, a few rolling boulders. You know, get creative.

Well then excellent. So how does this work?

The Graveyard

The Graveyard is obviously your main objective, currently it is protected only by a single sharp fence, which sounds easy enough...you still have to successfully climb over it.
As the game progresses it grows larger and larger and more interesting as well as better protected graves can be found.

For now however the graveyard consists of 10 concentric rings with 3 graves in each ring. the Closer you go to the center the better the loot as rich people want to lie somewhere well protected.

The Keeper

You yourself can wander the graveyard and patrol it...you actually should. You are armed with your trusty old shotgun and each turn you can patrol one ring of the graveyard.
I will pm you with your initial other items.

The Robbers

As it stands your job for now is relatively easy, still there is the danger of getting shot or killed and even just getting wounded is becoming exceedingly expensive. Unless you want to end up in the debtors prison or dead you need to be very careful.

Each of you has a number of stats:

Stealth: allows you to avoid traps and living beings.
Perception: determines your skill at discovering traps and shooting
Ingenuity: allows your skill and lockpicking, disarming traps and various other contraptions
Strength: your raw strength. Were ingenuity fails you might brute force your way through. Also determines how much you can carry by yourself.

generally you can move through two rings per turn, one if your wounded and half of one if you are crippled.
If you can successfully sneak up on someone or something you can instantly knock it out or even kill it.
If you are discovered by the Graveyard Keeper a chasse sequence will unfold which will end with you either dead, captured or escaped.
Generally you should give orders beforehand whether you want to surrender or fight.

On the first night you wont be able to buy anything anyway you can already give your orders for the first turn.
Please Spoiler your orders!
