Hi, I just start play DF, and build my fortress according to wiki guide.

When I plan to construct more beds, there is an error message pops up" woodworker cancels construct Bed: needs logs. But there is a woodpile full of logs besides the workshop. So I don't understand why.And in my stock view, there are 44 logs, but 9 of these were red. Which I don't know why it's red. I read the definition on dwarffortresswiki about red number, but found no explanation.

Not sure what that picture is meant to be of, other than advertising for something (food?) in a language I don't read.

A few suggestions:
- Check that the wood pile isn't linked to a different workshop, or the workshop isn't linked to a different woodpile.
- Check a tree or something hasn't grown in the pathway of getting to the wood.
- Check the wood isn't forbidden (it will have extra brackets) and try forbidding and then unforbidding the wood.
- Check the dwarf in question has arms/hands (it's a thing, honestly, and if he's had an alligator attack, he might not have arms).

Usually it's stockpile/workshop linkage which is the problem in this case. You could try making a second stockpile of wood to see if that will help, but that won't do anything if the workshop requires a specific stockpile to be filled.
