Listen to Maria! She's yourself from some other dimension or something, so she knows her stuff. Bloodthorne is just a made up character! Uh, no offence.

Step 1: Look behind you.

I still maintain that back here it looks like there are stairs up.

Step 2: If results are boring, give the radio a single check-up just in case the voice has some actual, practical advice that can be delivered in 50 words or less.

Step 3: Blow this popsicle stand.

Those are the stairs we went down to get into the room.

Oh! Yes! Maybe they will provide advice willingly if we state a maximum word count! This will prevent them from waffling on forever, and if they actually want to help us will hopefully cause them to say something useful.

This. We need all the exposition we can get! Just tell the radio-person that we don't want to be sitting around forever, waiting, and we want actual info.

Maybe apologize, too.

This!
Because underneath our nervousness, we're a pretty nice fellow? :D

(Also prioritize this over any leaving of radio)

Exposition, go!

Ignore radio! You don't need it! You can figure this out on your own!

You don't need no stinking radio! You're a strong independent young woman! To the window!

(I wonder how unhelpful I should be . . .)

Divide into two quantum versions of yourself, then both listen to the radio and not-listen to the radio.

(Because why not give yourself a splitting headache??)

Hey, Maria's just as hallucinatory as Princess Bloodthorne at this point! At least Princess Bloodthorne is honest about being a version of us that doesn't exist. And frankly, if I'm going to take advice from a probably-fictitious persona, it's going to be the persona with faith in our own strength, courage, and unequaled fashion sense!

Believe in the Princess Bloodthorne that believes in us!

Ignore radio! You don't need it! You can figure this out on your own!
Now seems like an opportune time to do some investigating.
>Approach window

After a quick farewell to your Advice Hallucinations, you resolve to continue exploring.
You're confident you can handle this without ambiguous help, from ambiguous strangers.
Whoever was on the other end of that Radio can just go worry about themselves.
And they'll surely give up and leave eventually. Right?

Meanwhile, you'll find your way around on your own. And you'll figure out what's happening, too.
You'll be fine. Everything will be fine.

>Examine window. Who says you can't get out of here? You can leave whenever you want.
>...
>Right?
Guys, it's still not a window. It's a doorway.
Assuming nothing dangerous is spotted, autodefenestrate

For now, you decide to backtrack to where you first woke up, and look outside the bright opening.
As you head toward it, you hear a hurried clicking sound behind you, as Clax catches up.
You don't really need their help either. But part of you is still glad they're comming with.

Together, you make your way to the small, lit chamber.

After all that time in the dark, you forgot how bright it was outside this window.
Or was this more of a doorway?

Whatever. It's a hole in a cave wall. It's technically neither of those things.

But man, that glare is something else. You can barely see what's outside, from in here.
And it's really bringing that headache from earlier back. And kinda makes your teeth itch?
...is that normal?

Either way, you step under the stone arch, and out into the blinding light.

With this awful glare, it's hard to tell what you're looking at.

And your head is absolutely killing you.

Okay, hopefully this can help us understand what that person meant when they said this place was a "shard". This one hypothesizes that the entirety of the world of Ashwood Cross is comprised of similar "shards". Presumably because something smashed the universe. You following that, Hana?

We should examine the whole landmass we're on, while trying to ignore the "non-space" outside. Seriously, don't look at it.
