Give the robot the stuffed cat. It might find a better use for it than us.

Hmm.  The adorable robot might hold interest in things which can be manipulated.  (It liked turning the flashlight on and off.)

This could be out of left field, but . . .

Demonstrate to robot the function of the zipper on the Another Duffel Bag.  Then offer the Another Duffel Bag in trade.

+1

Explain that this keeps us safe and happy.

Also request the robot to keep us company until we're out of the mine and even then. (Then inquire if they're bound to this place somehow, like security or tasked with safety or otherwise).

Hug said stuffed cat before showing it for offering? :D

-1 to giving away cat, +1 to giving it the spare duffel bag. Explain that it could carry more things at once with it, though there is still a limit based on how strong it is. It being the robot, not then bag.
Afterward, ask if it has a preferred gender pronoun. Aka, he, she, it, they, etc.

-1 to giving it the cat, IT'S OUR ONLY 'PET'. A bit like Ciro's Hand Puppets.

We don't need the extra duffel bag. It would be awkward to carry two duffel bags at once. Even if we had things to fill it with, we wouldn't be strong enough to carry it all. In fact, getting rid of the extra duffel bag could let us carry MORE stuff, as it is also just dead weight to us now, and we'd have two more slots to carry stuff in.

Try to see if it would take a song in exchange. You don't have much else.

Otherwise, if you really don't thave anything, maybe it can follow you around and point it at things?

ADOPT THE ROBOT.

Try to see if it would take a song in exchange.
If it doesn't take the song, perhaps it will take friendship.

Name it Pimblokto and never fail to to treat it with respect.

Are you saying you want me to trade
something away, to get my Flashlight back?

Er... I guess that's okay.

How about a song? I've got this Ukulele here,
and I could play...

Not interested in music? Huh.

Well, what if I offer... my friendship and gratitude!

I'll even throw in a quirky nickname, just for you.
How do you feel about something like Pimblokto?

Unfortunately, the Robot doesn't seem interested in your previous offers.
So much that they resorted to some abstract-looking symbols, even.
Sure, you're being a bit stingy... but this Robot is practically a thief.
Who cares if they retrieved your Flashlight. They're selling it back to you!

Anyway, there's no sense backtracking after you've come this far, you suppose.

Maybe they're looking to trade something tangible?
You don't have much, but you can think of a few options to try.

Ask what it might take.
Give the robot the stuffed cat. It might find a better use for it than us.
Demonstrate to robot the function of the zipper on the Another Duffel Bag.
Then offer the Another Duffel Bag in trade.

Maybe I could interest you in something else.

I have here a one-of-a-kind, finely-crafted Cat Plush.
Note the quality stitching on the button eyes, and...
...and on the tail end!

Definitely more Awful Cute than Just Awful. Right?
And it's soft, too.

So how about it? Would you call that a fair trade?

Okay, great. Let's not finalize anything yet.
I've got another thing here I'm sure you'll enjoy.

This is my Duffel Bag. Solid canvas and metal construction.
The straps are in great shape, and it's got a zipper closure.
Watch! It opens and closes! Hours of fun, for the easily amused!

Heck, you could probably even fit inside it. Use it as a Tiny Tent.
Or find another Duffel Bag, and stick it inside for a Quality Prank.

What do you say. Interested?

The Robot seems as interested in the Cat Plush as they are in your Extra Duffel Bag.
You were honestly hoping for some help on this decision. Your heart is split in half, over this.
Do you need your Flashlight that badly? If only there was another way to get it back, or find your way.

The spare Duffel Bag is sort of useful, even if you've equipped one already.
You could sling it over your other shoulder to haul something.
And you must've brought a spare to this Mine for a reason... right?

On the other hand, the Cat Plush isn't very practical. But it is handcrafted.
And it's pretty cute, and soft, and weird too. Good qualities, you reckon.
You wonder if it was something you made yourself, or if it was a gift.

Remembering more than you do would be pretty helpful, right now.

ADOPT THE ROBOT.
It probably already has an owner. Wonder who it could be.
After exchange, ask about it's owner.
Aw man don't say that! That's super racist against robots!

As you think about which of the two you'd rather give away, a thought occurs.
The Robot presumably knows this area well. Keeping them with you could be helpful.
And you'd rather not give away any of your things permanently, if you can help it.

On top of that, as much as you hate to admit it... they're kinda cute too.
Cute in a tiny, boxy, cuthroat, cyclopian spider-bot kind of way?

You decide to ask if they'd be willing to come with you.
You should probably make sure they don't have existing obligations, too.

Hey, just as a quick sidenote.

Sorry if this is an insensitive thing to say,
and I hope I'm not being weird here,
but do you have an... Owner or something?

Er... can I assume that Thumbs-Down applies to
whether that was insensitive, too?

And/or whether you think I'm a Robo-Racist?

Ehehehe... heh. Okay.

Well, if you're your own Robot, with no duties?
Do you think you'd like to tag along with me?

I'd like to have someone who knows this Mine.

...

Oh wait, shit. Not have you as in "own you"!
I meant that like "have with me."

Like a travelling companion. Not a... a...

You know?

...

Let's just talk about this later, then!

You just... whoops! Ha ha...

Well shit.

Maybe you should focus on getting your Flashlight back for now, Hana.

You know what I just realized? We had these things in our inventory for actual reasons. As players, we chose this stuff because we wanted it. But, in game, we really did allready have them in the bag. That means we MAY have wanted the extra bag for carrying something specific we forgot, and the plush cat is not arbitrary. Plush cats are NEVER arbitrary. Plus, it could serve as a pillow when we sleep.

Either way, make sure our hair isn't actually on fire.

Soft soft plushcat. Much softer than that mean metal robot. We don't need anyone else, do we plushcat?
Say goodbye to the robot and find our way to the entrance. Is it weird that I don't really want to go deeper into this dark and scary place? There's a whole wide world out there to explore! That is illuminated by the sun!
