Are we voting on weapons? If so, I say either the rifle or the machine gun.

Yep it's weapon voteing time, so right now it's a coin toss between rifle or machinegun.

flamethrower. there's never enough chances to kill things with fire. Lets not forget that we already have a revolver and a SMG as our backups. (after we retrieve them, of course.)

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

Right its official i do far to much research, i've spent the last hour looking to find out, when, what route and which part of the german army did what.
Im still not sure what each German infantry squad carried in the way of ammo and grenades
My copy of infantry tactic of the second world war has nice lists for the US and Britain but nothing for the Germans.
So it's the power of google foo that give us your platoons set up and number.
That is too much work for a game that stars the Daughter of Frankenstein in the nazi's leather fetish squad.

There's 2 votes for flame-thrower and 2 for rifle or machinegun.
The toss is tails and tail again so you get a machine gun.
--------

You collect the heavy iron mass for your machine, and fill your pouches with short 50 round belts.
With your own gear check and sortied, you see how your assistant Hannah is getting on and check that Josseline hasn't  managed to lose some of the ammo.

June 22, 1941
The German 18th Army enters Lithuania under the summer sun.
It's a long road east, crawling along at pace of a horse cart.
Your lucky, you get to ride in the back of a truck as men walk, drudging onwards towards the east.

It's mid-afternoon noon when a distant rife shot sends a bullet harmlessly in to dirt in front of the truck.

In the distance you can see a small village, the red banner of communists flying above it.
Your first mission is clear before, you must liberate the village.

Before you can move Helmine shouts for:
1)The driver to stops and every to attack on foot.
2)The driver to advance in to the village at speed.
3)Other

(your able to boss your assistant and ammo carrier about)

"Scheiße! Driver forwards attack" Helmine shouts
The truck roars forwards to attack and like panzergrenaders you race in to battle.

Felicita deploys a smoke grenade to cover your attack.
More shots ring out as the truck skids to a halt beside a house
"Abspringen! Every body out now!" Helmine commands and you leap from the back of the truck.

You sprint to the corner of the house and manage to catch a pair of Russians in the open.
Fireing from the shoulder, a pair of quick bursts cuts them both down.

A boom echoes from the house next to you and then the other as the others start to clear each house.
You slot your machinegun in to Hannah tripod and settle down to watching the street.
Fireing quick bursts at anyone that try to cross the street, you keep the Russians divided and trapped.

Then as suddenly as it started the shooting ends and a eerie silence falls.
Helmine call for the assembly and you regroup with your squad at the centrer of the village.

After a brief head count your left alone and choose to

1: Socialize with your squad over cigarettes
2: Scavenge arms and equipment from the dead russains.
3: Oppress civilians and steal from them.
4: Study the book and try to lean some thing about your self.

Scavenge
You scavenge supply's, looting the stores of your enemy.
You find:
A fish fur Ushanka
A loaded TT pistol with every thing, belt, holder even the cleaning kit.
And finally a pair anti tank grenades.

The next morning your platoon relieved by Wehrmacht troops and so the platoon heads on deeper in Lithuania.

Two weeks later and your on leave in Kaunas, it's citizens still proudly welcoming fellow anti-Soviet fighters.

Party of you is relived that you didn't have to fight at all to enter the city, in fact the red army seems to have collapsed, you wonder what's going to happen next.

You pass the time by reading the book, slowly makeing sense of the Latin
It's a manual, guiding you thru the making of an homunculus.
Your not entirely sure of the process to create one, but there simpler and more interesting things in the book but you just need more time to understand them.

You don't have to wait long before the 2d platoon is sent eastwards into back action.
But this time things are different:

1:The platoon has been reequipped with armoured cars.
2:The platoon has been reequipped with captured tanks.
3:The platoon has been reasigned to be paratroopers.
4:The platoon has been reequipped with additional light weaponry.
5: The platoon has been reinforced with additional troops.
6: The platoon has been reequipped with Special Weapons.
7:You've been promoted to Squad Leader.
8:Other

6. Special weapons yuss

(I'll admit that i was a little torn with wherever to go with sci-fi weapons or just push the boat a few years in to the future and give you all Sturmgewehrs and other real things.
For now i'll hold back on the wondrous weapons of nazi super science.)

Before you head east, a truck arrives and your platoon is re-equipped with special weapons.

The new guns are Sumbachinegun with new short rifle ammo to improve there range.
Your machine gun is taken away and you get one of the new guns, it's lighter being made of stamped metal and useing magazines instead of belts.
But it's clear that your days with heavy weapons are not over as fixed to bottom your rife is a military flare gun.
A bandoleer of grenade cartridges for the flare gun make it clear that your still the one with the biggest gun.

With your new weapons you move eastwards and by the start of autumn your on the road to Yelnya.

After the platoon stops for the night at a small village, you have settled down for the night and are passing the time until you eat by reading books and playing cards.
When suddenly a thousand throat open up the distance with the cry of URRA!
An engine rumbles in to life and on near by hill top men start to move closer.
