The hail has gone through! A commlink is established between The Intrepid and the alien spacestation. The return broadcast is some strange mumbling mixed in with static noise.

It is time to...

A) Attempt to talk back with the spacestation. (Diplomacy)
B) Try to clear the disturbance in the transmission. (Repairs)
C) Attempt to 'hack' your way into the spacestation's computers. (Research)

Info on the options:

Jump choices: 3 outta 5 crewmembers gotta vote.
Event choices: First crewmember to vote 'wins'.
Personal choices: Crewmember in question must decide.

Was that last roll needing a Diplomacy one? Because it'd be weird if the Physicist voted and the action was rolled using them instead of the most appropriate crew member

With just a simple modulation to the carrier-wave, she clears the static!

It is now clear that the unknown transmission is some sort of bubbly, repeating code or speech. It might be something of a warning, advertisement or mayhaps a distress call. It's definitely an automatic broadcast, though.

A) Try to decode the language to understand the transmission. (Diplomacy)
B) Attempt to hack the spacestation's computers via the commlink. (Research)
C) Leave the station alone, it's probably abandonded on a purpose!

The computers have been hacked! They are badly damaged though and the energy core of the station is running low on power, too.

What does Tiri Rin download from the spacestation's computers while there is still time??

A) Unlabeled, yet detailed and large computer program. (?)
B) Navigational charts of the system's unvisited Jumppoints. (+1 to Navigation rolls in this system)
C) Remote control program for a cargo barge docked at the spacestation. (?)

Since it really is 'player character acting if they do the post choice', that's a lot of time to interact for all of us. We can see when it's needed given the parentheses. Though I expected that the 'most applicable crewmember' will be used when those choices are chosen because of relevance. x_x All my mistakes, sorry!

It is some malicious program! The attack on The Intrepid's computers is thwarted by heavy hacking montage done by Tiri Rin!

The commlink is broken, the station runs out of power. What now?

A) Sail to and dock with the station.
B) Let's jump away, before we stumble upon another trap!

Tiri apologizes profusely for her overexcitement and enthusiasm, pondering that this system--if having a station such as this with an effect such as present--may be worth a lot in terms of technology, sans the virus and malware dangers.
...Seriously should've picked the maps. Cargo may be dangerous too. Any ideas? I do not want to pick this one.
...Also wondering if a "Marine" could act as an away team leader to do docking and boarding/search missions. OR if we can level up our crew as we go on (and maybe even go on future missions provided we survive ._.
