bacon, its great, it comes in a variety of different flavors and almost everyone can agree that bacon is great

but one thing people cant agree upon is whether bacon tastes better when cooked in the microwave or in the oven

which do you prefer?

Oven's better, and fairly substantially. Pan can work about as well on that front, too. Microwave works decent enough, though. Is still bacon.

Sometimes you don't have a pan. Sometimes you don't want to have to clean one. Sometimes you'd rather just press some buttons than having to exert what little effort is involved in cooking bacon in a pan. Probably other reasons, too, I'unno.

my reason for the microwave is that i have a special bacon tray for it that drains the grease away and makes it a LOT more easy to get crispy bacon without much grease.

if you like soft, greasy bacon the pan is a good option
though the grease makes me really sick, and i prefer crispy bacon anyway

But FAT is good. Also, you just need to cook it longer if you want it crispier.

Personally what me and my family had done was use bacon that was pre cooked and stuck it in the oven for a little bit to crisp it. May not be as fatty and delicious but with feta and cheddar cheese in a hollowed jalapeño, it goes great.

I grew up with this thing, and imo it still always produced flabby, rubbery bacon. Sure the fat is there and hot but it was never very crispy.

Doing it in a pan is just superior IMO. You can manage it, flip it, get it cooked just right on all sides. (Or if you're like my mom, you just forget about it and let it burn in the pan ><)

Pan, so long as I have a pan/don't already have something in the oven. If I've got sausages in the oven or something like that, I might put the bacon in alongside them.

Microwaving bacon is probably blasphemy.

Hey, it's edible, it's still bacon, and it's bacon you didn't have to cook you can just pluck out of the fridge and munch on. Relatively expensive and generally fairly meh quality wise, but it ain't bad so far as the eating goes.

And microwaving bacon's fine. Sometimes a bit finicky and it works better with stuff like turkey bacon, but it's a'ight.
