Marcus surveys the situation, ready to shoot at any moment. "Is everyone accounted for!? Marcus is unharmed!"

"I'm good!" Alanna replies, peering around. "I think those two just leaped behind a dune."

"Ugh. Marcus hates getting sand in wounds. Itches like crazy!"

"Whatever. That shitlord needs to die, I'm thinking."

"Marcus agrees. That life is unnatural. Whatever was left of children's minds are gone; they are but puppets of a delusional mad-thing."

"Right. Bill, Beethro, what do you think?"

Temp action: Marcus and Alanna Overwatch for teleporting children and miscellanious threats. Put bullets into any that appear. Marcus uses rifle for this purpose.

((Been travelling since Friday. Was waiting for somebody else to post so it would show up on my unread replies as a reminder.))

"We need to keep moving, before the wizard sends anything else. The only way he could manage what he's done so far is if he had old world artifacts or was an old world wizard."

Get the spider hooked up to the cart, ride on my snakescorpion, and let's keep going. If possible, move outside the magnetic field and follow its edge towards the center to limit the amount of time we are vulnerable to teleporting statue children. Keep using my and my summons' senses to avoid traps, ambushes, and other dangers.

You travel for three straight days, slowly tracing the edge of the field before coming to the realization that the field is circular. You've made it as deep into the wastes as possible without entering the area where the magentic field is strongest.  The only way now is in. Or to leave, I suppose.

Follow Fleyshius, and by extension, the group.  Keep watchful for kid golems, and don't eat anything made by the crazies unless Fleyshius says it's safe.  Wonder whether three days of travel have lead to Sigh's arm healing.

Eat. Ponder possible ways to deal with the wizard with the least amount of harm to us. Also keep watch through summon senses and try to determine how far it is to the center of the magnetic anomaly.

At this point, assuming its coming from the center, probably about a day's journey.

Beethro and Alanna set  about preparing a meal while the rest of the group set up camp. Sigh's injuries have since been bandaged and his hp healed, but he still clings to Flesyhius and whines when his bandages are changed. After the tents are set up the team sits down and eats. Bill spends his time silently contemplating how to get to the Wizard without being swarmed by children.  The easiest way would probably have been to just say they were joining with him like he seemed to want, but that ship has sailed now. Instead, the best way now would be to simply avoid the attention of the wizard.

He scratches his head. This wizard seems to see everything going on in this place, but clearly that can't be right. He has to have some specific sense that is allowing him to track the team. Maybe he can feel the movement of magnetic things through this field? If that were true then it might be possible to confuse his detection via the use of magentic decoys.

Hmm, well, we could put a tent over one of the summons for a decoy, but I don't know if that's actually going to work.  Or we could knock out individual creatures by having someone carry no magnetic materials and sneak up on one of the children.

Continue pondering ways to avoid wizard attention. What about using "Cloak" or Camouflage" or "Blend" on one of the tents and setting it up as a canopy or something over the wagon and as much as it can cover? Or using "Fluctuate" or "Magnetize" on one and having my golem drag it in the opposite direction like Dev suggested? Would that be a good enough distraction?
