You do any exploratory mining?
Breach the caverns?
Make any furniture?
Build any traps?
Carve out more/better bedrooms?
Make any Potash?
Smooth/Engrave any walls/floors?
Make some goblets/mugs?

Did anybody tantrum?
Was there an election?
Have you received any mandates?
Piss off any elves?

Sorry Gwolfski, Didn't mean to badger ya.

Its just this is my first succession fort and I'm excited.

Tell me about your courtyard.
How many plants did you collect from the surface?
What do you think the next person should do with all that hemp?

Thanks jcowski.  Those labels will really help new players out.
I think you got the airlock entryway closed and open positions backwards though.
(Oh, NM, i see you listed that)

Maybe we can each do that thing where we pretend we are the new overseer and describe it from the dorfs pov.

Okay. more detailed writeup with pictures! I finished off the two last months, as I said I would

Save plz wait for pics

I will try to do this from my dorf's point of view

---------

Well, I'm in charge now! Wonderful. Let us have a look at this place.
First problem: The Depot is inaccessible to wagons, or so everyone tells me. Huh. Ramp seems ok, but I'll guess I'll order it moved up onto the surface.

There is nothing on the surface. We at least need a basic palisade!

That's better now!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Two dorfs complain they are bored. Go smooth walls!

WHAT!?! there's no booze!? How can this be! No brewable plants, you say? Well, Mr. Brewer, new job for you! Go upstairs, and gather EVERY single plant!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

By that I didn't mean leave piles of plants everywhere, but whatever, I don't care.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I haven't slept properly in ages! I recon we need proper rooms, not shabby dirt holes. Let me plan this out...

This looks great!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The two dorfs from earlier are getting good! And I'm gonna be a master wood-butcher carpenter!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Oh carp, migrants. That brings us up to 52 Urists. Gotta expand bedrooms.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Aaaand someone went crazy.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Also, we got weed hemp now!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Nice!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Oh, Winter already?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

((I had to stop here, my game crashed a month shy of spring))

Glad we have a brewer now, and I like those farm improvements. By the way, the Trade Depot was blocked before because of a boulder by the ramps. It looks like we're getting low on logs. Actually, we seem to still have lots of logs. I guess I can't read ASCII packs so well.

You can change the graphics, I just thought I'd set the default to ASCII since that seems to be the norm.  (I think Gwolfski had the newest save set for ASCII, not sure)

I found a strange new room. Trying to figure out what it is meant to be:

A well?
A watch tower?
Bottomless pit?
A hole to let in fun things?
A sky light?
Oh, no, it's a windmill hole!

More like a hole with a windmill. Holes are blue in Obsidian, so I got confused and thought it was water at first.
