Marie immediately searches for a hotel or some form of accommodation. She greets the receptionist with an energetic wave.
"Hi~! What's the currency here?"

[TCM]

"Frontier first began being explored in the 58th century, and settlements began cropping up in the 63rd I believe."

"Huh, some of these people look like they're from before the last demon king..."

[Powder Miner]

"Soooo, what, you're from the ~~future~~ where everything's gone so future it's looped back around to not really being the future?"

[TCM]

"No, we have constantly progressed. What of your people?"

[Powder Miner]

She shrugs.
"I dunno. We've got one or two robots rolling around but forgetting those we aren't too futuristic or anything."

[TheBiggerFish]

Ray blinks, still taking in the scene.

<sub>"Huh...Really divergent timelines...

Yeah, we're still working on getting off-planet.  I heard something about some zillionaire trying to make a Mars colony..."</sub>

[TCM]

"Only one or two? How many airships? How reliant are your people on steam?"

[Powder Miner]

"We've got a whole bunch of airplanes, uh, no steam though. I think."

[TheBiggerFish]

<sub>"Yeah, steam's been and gone, we're using electricity - lightning - and stuff now.  We still burn a lot of coal, but at power plants, and we're trying to move off of that because it's bad for everyone's health.

We don't have airships, we have airplanes.  Zeppelins died out with the Hindenburg catching fire.  Airplanes are heavier-than-air propeller powered stuff, mostly.  Except for jet engines, which I don't really know how they work but they are much more powerful."</sub>

Hah! What an interesting illusion this is. The void things must be incredibly desperate, crafting up so obvious a distraction. I will humour them all the same, however. If this is the best they can come up with, clearly they are running out of ways to do anything to me.

Still, I do not recognize any of these buildings, not really. I don't believe the void-things have had anything even slightly similar... Odd, that they would craft an image that does not match up to any reality either myself or they have seen. This is all far too obviously fake.

I continue to explore the town, absentmindedly switching out Digestive Assimilation and Technomagic as I continue to walk. Wing Manifestation and... Telepathic Mimicry? Oh well. I grow a pair of wings to speed up the process of exploring, using them to fly around instead of walk. Fun times.

[SOLDIER First]

Kurushimi bends completely over to enter the saloon and, assuming the ceilings are as low as one would expect, remains in a crouch once inside. Their scabbard is liable to clothesline someone should they turn too swiftly.

[Chevaleresse]

Marisa enters the saloon behind the rest of the group, giggling to herself slightly about Kurushimi's crouch. Reminds her of an old friend.

[SOLDIER First]

Kurushimi suddenly whirls around to examine a table, clotheslining Marisa in the process

They turn, neck and upper body only, to look at Marisa.
