The woman skates away another inch or two and stands up, brushing off her dress. The dirt seems to lift itself off, falling to the ground. "Hello?"

"The child Nate was born in San Fransisco. But they was a lifetime ago. I was born in Uzbekistan.  "

Ray sits up.

[SOLDIER First]

The figure stares down at her silently. It gives a small wave, as if in greeting.

The blonde-haired man wakes up.
"Great Scott! Where am I? This isn't the Caverns of Neander!"

[Chevaleresse]

"Can you understand me?"

The smoke seems to be coming from a settlement quite a distance away on foot. It's hard to tell what kind of settlement it is from this distance.
"Yes, of course! What kind of silly question is that?"

[SOLDIER First]

The figure nods once. Their voice, rather clear despite their helmet, speaks.

"I do not speak much."

An old white dude appears in the great vacuum of the multiverse and spat upon the hill first-face, his preacher's robes dragging against the dirt. After a few moments, he props himself up and looks around. Once he's observed his immediate surroundings, he lowers his head. "Almighty and all-merciful Father, I know not how to thank you for providing me with this salvation of eternal life. I know not whether this be the gates of heaven or of some place other, but regardless, to have my spirit intact I give you my heart, mind and spirit for now and forever. Amen." John stands up and walks over to the nearest cluster of people, "We have been saved from damnation! Our God is most benevolent, hallelujah!"

The pair pause before heading back up the hill. The man speaks.
"Ey lads, there's a town within walking distance from here. We should probably see if we can find out what's going on there."

The previously-flailing guy seems to have fallen asleep.

"Oh, alright. The big knight types I'm used to are more like that guy." She nods her head at the shouty blonde guy, her hat exaggerating the gesture.

She makes a face, however, at the older man. _{"Great, a priest. . ."}
