Suddenly, the self-proclaimed non-human felt various pokes on his back. Turning around would reveal a cat-eared woman in what one might call a stereotypical witch costume was the one poking him. "Not human, you say?"

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

""Whuh?! Hey, hands off!" She moves into a sort-of-threatening pose.

The woman pouted. "But non-humans make such interesting specimens! Especially cute ones~"

They finally walk to the source of smoke, the settlement in the distance. It takes almost an hour, maybe a bit longer, underneath a burning sun, but you get there in one piece.

The name of the town, as can be judged from the ramshackle sign within the outskirts, seems to be Fort Wit. It seems to be a medium-sized town; certainly big enough that it might take longer than a day to explore it all. The structures seem to be of various types and designs, from familiar brick-and-mortar, to olden hay and timber, to what seems to be shacks of corrugated iron bolted together with rusty bolts and hot glue. The inhabitants reflect this, with some being clearly human and from modern eras, and others being somewhat more fantastical, both in age and in appearance.

The first buildings in front of you seem to be a pair of shops that seem to be for medicine and clothing, along with what appears to be a Western-type saloon.

"Huh, this looks pretty hodgepodge... wonder if this is all interplanar travelers?" She trails somewhat behind Kurushimi as the group enters the town, largely waiting on cues from the rest.

Cecil trails behind the group.

The saloon seems out of a Western, with typical wooden tables, a poker table, various stools, what looks like a dartboard pinned to the wall and barrels of aging beer scattered around. That is, if your typical Western had Klingons, elves, Faunus and what seems to be a Hutt in the corner running a game of poker with bulldogs. The bartender, mercifully, seems to be a normal human, polishing a normal beer mug while talking to what appear to be a dwarf and an anthropomorphic cat about something.

Lidia squinted at the town. "Well, this is a weird little place, isn't it? Huh."

Sit at the bar. Ask the bartender where we are and how we got here. From the large diversity in the crowd, we can assume that they're in the same position as us.

"Outside of some of these peculiar folk, it looks like any normal frontier town, no church though."

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.
