Go to the market and buy a good quality weapon. Before leaving, see what else is for sale as well.

'Air out' lair of its toxins very carefully. If everything went well and its all nice and clean, spend the rest of the day packing for the trip to the Sigil path.

FAKE EDIT: A PM of what exactly those recipes do would be nice, Dark One.

17th Fourth Quarter 998 - Noon

Sapphire and Jack

Siblings were moving on with the Isethian army until they reached the spot where Wolf's Road split between Erdhen and New Larramsir. It was time to start working on another assignment - the silver stolen from royal treasury.

[3] Since there was no time to waste, Sapphire and Jack immediately followed the route to New Larramsir. They weren't in a hurry though, as it the city wasn't that far.

[6] On the way they as usual marked an interesting spot - from the trade route one could see a big lake, with giant lungfish roaming ashore. These aquatic predators can grow up to the size of a boar, and while they aren't overtly aggressive towards humans, children may still seem as a good snack for these beasts. There might be a reward for getting rid of these.

[2] Siblings were moving on slowly, taking their time on the road and wondering who could steal a few carriages of silver ingots guarded by royal guards.

Tyr Loknar

[3] Walking calmly and slowly from the small lane leading from Lounge's estate to the city, asking for direction on the way, Tyr reached the building of Erdhen Smithy - the best weapon and armor smiths in whole province. He entered the building and took a look at the wares.

[4] There was a good selection of fine quality steel weapons - from long and short blades through spears and mauls up to halberds and war hammers. He even noticed a decent shortsword with Isethian ornaments on it's hilt that he could put to good use. Tyr approached the apprentice that ran the shop, greeted and asked: How much is that weapon? - pointing at the shortsword.

[1] I'm sorry, but everything you see here was made on a contract with Iseth's army. There's nothing for sale right now. - the young, frail man replied.

[2] Tyr asked about other places where he could buy weapons, but the man said that he don't know about any other weaponsmiths in the city.

[5] Just when he was ready to leave, the apprentice said that there is a possibility of forging new weapon for him after signing a contract. The man took out some papers from a desk and showed it to Tyr.

[5] He read it all a few times just to be sure that there's nothing wrong with it, as it was an excellent bargain. Shortsword forged from steel of highest quality with Isethian ornaments and an ornamented scabbard for mere 175 Florins. He signed the contract and the apprentice said that in two days the weapon will be ready.

[4] Then Tyr decided to also check armors - there was a wide variety of them. From chainmails and scale armors through lamellar armors to full plate mails. These were for sale, however Tyr lacked the skill required to fight properly in any of these.

Lost: 175 Florins

Euzaroch

[5] Euzaroch and Kallun opened up some small vents that the sorcerer prepared when carving the hideout in case of emergency like this one. Cloud of toxins flewn out of it and dispersed in the air, droplets of firewater were still on the ground, it wasn't condensed enough for it to even ignite. They went inside and cleaned up the mess, then Euzaroch asked his companion: Are you ready to travel?

[2] Not yet, but perhaps I may feel better tomorrow. - the sorcerer hastily replied.

[3] Then together they packed everything they'll need for the journey - food, water and some tools.

[5] Next they tried to brew those potions again, this time using components found in a hidden stash that survived Euzaroch's first flawed firewater and found during cleaning. This time he did excellent job, getting three vials of fleadust, two of rust-eater and one of firewater.

Received: 3x Fleadust, 2x Rust-Eater, 1x Firewater

Vrillith

[Vril: 4, Out-Realm Raider: 6] Vrillith regained his strenght and got up from the ground just when the armored figure was approaching the camp. He readied his dagger and charged with a few stabs, but out-realmer dodged them easily. Then he made a powerful swing against Vril, which would end fatally if not for the Blade of Blackwill - whirls of blue energies formed a shield that blocked the strike, some of it electrifying and slightly wounding the raider! Still, force of his attack was strong enough to slightly push Vril back!

[Out-Realm Raider: 1, Vril: 2, Sunrise Knights: 4] When both Vrillith and armored figure regained balance after both attack and shielding, the knights got up and ignited their swords again, then charged at the out-realm raider! While they blades couldn't cut through the armor, they manage to knock it to the ground and probably inflict some burns! Vril got slightly burnt by the flames too!

[Vril: 3, Sunrise Knights: 1, Out-Realm Raider: 3] The armored figure quickly got up from the ground and shouted out: Ackh shaelador! - grabbing it's great sledge and pounding it into the ground with whole strenght. The strong shockwave pushed Vril back even further, while spikes of rocks that protruded from the ground impaled two of the knights and wounded the third one!

[Sunrise Knight: 3, Out-Realm Raider: 2, Vril: 2] The only knight that survived charged at the figure while it was regaining it's strenght and managed to land a few hits on it. Vrillith was regaining balance after the shockwave pushed him back.

Discovered effect of Blackwill's Bless - Energy Shield

Energy Shield - a shield composed of blue whirls of energies, forming around when an extremely strong attack is made against protected one. It can work twice during whole battle, and is able to backfire some damage against the attacker.

Check for any other items of interest for sake, then head back. Inform the others of the two day waiting period, and get briefed on the mission.

17th Fourth Quarter 998 - Evening

Sapphire and Jack

[1] As Sapphire and Jack were getting closer to the city, they were stopped by a Royal Guard blockade. Halt travellers! Identify yourself! - shouted out a knight that approached them from behind a barricade. I'm Sapphire, and this is my brother Jack. We are agents of the king, we have an assignment to do in city of New Larramsir. - Sapphire replied from the horseback.

[4] Things have changed a little bit around here. The city is now governed by Miles Backhorst and is a part of Erdhen province. There are rumors that they'll not only change banners on the walls, but also city's name as well. I'll tell my men to let you pass, good luck with your assignment. - the knight explained, then ordered the barricade open to let siblings pass.

[2] The road was a bit crowded with caravans and travellers, waiting for identifying and granting passage, so siblings had some troubles getting further.

[4] After a longer while Sapphire and Jack finally got past whole that gridlock and could speed up. Spotting the city in the distance, they knew they'll reach it by the night.

Tyr Loknar

[5] After taking a look at armors, Loknar checked the shop for anything interesting. There was a shelf filled with firearms and ammo! Numerous types of flintlocks - the usual, double- and triple barrelled, and even a handcannon! The prices were somewhat low too, which was explained by apprentice that this particular shipment was a gift from empire to province's governor, that he ordered to either be thrown away or sent back and they used the opportunity.

[1] The shop was closing and Tyr had to leave without checking for anything more.

[6] On the way back to estate, Tyr was stopped by a watchman! Stop citizen! - the man shouted from afar. Loknar just waited until he gets closer.

[3] When he finally approached Tyr, he asked: You're the one working with alchemists? Llathandrill told me to warn you that the estate is no longer safe and you'll meet in The Gold Goblet Inn. It's across the market, opposite to Grand Cathedral. - Loknar thanked and moved on.

[1] It was getting darker, someone moved to the streets and slowly lit up a few gas lanterns. Tyr could already see the tavern where he was supposed to meet with Llathandrill, but suddenly someone approached from a darker lane. Three people in cloaks, daggers or shortswords stripped to their belts. Look who we have here! Throw up sack with your coins and we may let you go, ha ha!

Euzaroch

[4] Excellent job my friend! These will come in handy later on. I'm feeling much better now, we may go tomorrow. - Kallun exclaimed. This is good, everything's together and we've got some potions to boot. Zyugewolg smiles on us in every moment..

[3] We should rest and tomorrow we'll move to the sigil path. But before we go, I found something that might be useful during cleaning and hidden it as a surprise. - Kallun said, opening another hidden stash.

[3] He took out a full set of ceremonial pagan sorcerer suit. This certainly is better than those charred and bloodied rags that you wear. - he said, giving them to Euzaroch. He took it on immediately, replacing rags he was wearing on before. Thanks, I'm really grateful!

[1] Suddenly an ominous and uneasy presence could be felt in the hideout, the closer to exit the stronger it was. Can you feel it? - Euzaroch asked, something started banging on the door. Take the second exit, I'll wait by the door and help as soon as I'll hear your battle.

Received: Pagan Sorcerer armor [p:3, s:3, b:3]

Vrillith

[Vril: 2, Out-Realm Raider: 2, Sunrise Knights: 2] Vrillith tried to flee, but something forced him to stay, it was that stone! Out-Realm Raider was still regaining his strenght, while the knight backed off.

[Out-Realm Raider: 3, Sunrise Knight: 5, Vril: 5] The out-realmer eventually regained his stamina and got up, strenghtening his grip around great sledge's handle. Attack, now! - the knight ordered Vrillith and charged, unleashing a powerful slash at raider's legs that made him struggle to not fall on the ground. Vrillith did as the knight wanted and charged with a strong stab to the chest, puncturing through the armor and wounding the armored figure! It fell at the ground with a loud thump!

[Sunrise Knight: 5, Vril: 4, Out-Realm Raider: 6] The raider quickly grabbed Vril by his leg and tried to smash it, but the energy shield shot again and shocked the out-realmer, pushing Vrillith to safety. The knight took last of his firewater flasks to ignite his sword, then stabbed the armored figure through the chest! The out-realmer was writhing in pain, getting fried from inside! Then he lied still and silent.

"Ugh, why me?"
If they were unarmed, I would fight them, but as it is, it's too dangerous. Run away, preferably towards a conveniently placed group of guards.

17th Fourth Quarter 998 - Night

Sapphire and Jack

[2] It was getting darker and darker. Siblings stopped for a moment to look for a safe resting spot, but they couldn't find any, so they decided to drive onwards.

[1] They reached the city, but the gates were closed and they couldn't enter.

[3] Luckily for them, there was an inn outside the city walls where they found a safe spot to rest, paying 10 Florins for the night.

Lost: 10 Florins

Tyr Loknar

Ugh, why me? - Tyr mumbled angrily, noticing a smirk on thug's face in the faint lantern light.

[5] As the bandit leader was approaching, Loknar started to run as quickly as he could and bumped onto a group of watchmen! Help! Bandits are trying to mug me! - he shouted out, guards immediately drawn their weapons and followed Tyr to the place where burglars showed up.

[Thugs: 1, Tyr: 3, Guards: 5] Surprise! - one of thugs shouted, jumping out from behind one of merchant stands, his buddies following closely. They only took a glimpse at the watchmen and immediately started to run away! Tyr caught one of them while guards took care of the rest. Thanks for calling us citizen! These criminal scum are going to end up in local prison. Do you need an escort?

Vrillith

[4] Vril got up from the ground and came closer to the armored figure lying on the ground. Sunrise knight was still watching the body, as if he was waiting for something. Vrillith examined the armor this man was wearing - it seemed to be an alloy unknown to him, both light-weight and highly durable at the same time.

[4] Then he checked his dagger - it was alright, no signs of damage after the battle and the charge didn't seem to wear off yet. After a while it was confirmed that the figure was dead. The knight sheathed his sword and spoken: That was extremely dangerous. We lost our three men to this warrior, but without it we wouldn't find our goal - the stone you mistakenly activated. Perhaps you deserve some kind of reward for the trouble... - with a tired, yet calm voice.

[5] He stripped the figure of armor, but before they both could examine it, the body disappeared in a flash! Take the armor, you may find it useful in your journeys. You may return to the camp to stay for the night. - he said handing the plate armor to Vril. Curiously it was quite light for a plate mail. As he got his hands on it, the armor resized itself to Vril's size!

[3] We'll take care of corpses tomorrow. Now let's rest. - the knight said, and they both went to barracks.

Received: Out-Realm Armor [piercing: 5, slashing: 5, blunt: 5] - mysterious nature of this armor gives several effects: Out-Realm Influence.

18th Fourth Quarter 998
Morning

Sapphire and Jack

Next day siblings left their rooms and spoke with inn keeper: Hey, can you tell us something about latest news? - asked Jack, keeping his coin sack at ready.

[5] The city is in deep shit. It's governor rotting in Darkbog, royal treasury robbed and rule changing. Heard they wanted to bring Sunrise Knights to take care of all this mess and let the Order run this city. I wouldn't mind a sunrise banner on city gates myself, but most people associate these knights with inquisition, which ceased to exist three hundreds years ago! Wait, you're the two travelling agents of king, right? - the stocky bartender replied, and then asked. Well... yes, we are. - Sapphire hesitantly replied.

[5] People were gossipping about you two. If you're here to deal with the stolen silver and want to know what happened with the load, you should ask in Seaside Inn in Newtshore Shipyards, it's a seaside village frequently visited by Larramsirian treasure ships. Someone around there would know if a big silver load left Iseth by sea. - the man gave them an advice. Thanks for information! - said Jack, and siblings left the tavern with first lead in the case of stolen silver.

[1] Sapphire and Jack wanted to enter the city, but they were stopped by watchmen guarding the gates! Stop! The city is closed to visitors until next governor arrives, such is the order of Miles Backhorst, lord of Erdhen province! - a halberdier shouted out. But we are agents of the king, we need to enter the city! This is a matter of national importance! - Sapphire tried to convince the man into letting them in.

[2] You may gain entrance to the city, but once you're inside, there's now way we'll let you out until next ruler arrives! Decide and come back later. - the watchman replied.

Tyr Loknar

No, thank you, the inn I'm staying at is just there. Thank you for your help. - Tyr said to guards holding beaten up thugs. This is our duty. Stay safe citizen! - one of guards said and they left, dragging unconscious outlaws to prison.

[5] As it was gettng brighter, Loknar quickly spotted Golden Goblet Inn and went there immediately. Some people were still sitting by the tables and talking - these were the alchemists that Tyr needed to meet. He joined them and took a seat, Llathandrill asked: I see you've finally arrived, and in one piece. You look tired, any luck finding a weapon? Tyr replied: Yeah, but we need to wait two days before I can get it. All their stocks were reserved, and I had to order forging one blade anew. So, what next? What are lounge's real goals?

[6] Our main goal is to either destroy Aspects, break their influence on the world or secure sigil stones so no one can abuse power of these out-realm beings. Curiously, Sunrise Knights seem to already do the last - they travel across whole Tenath and secure sigil stones. In case we'll need allies, we can ask them for help. However, we just recently found out about a faction opposite to Order of the Rising Sun. These are called Moonlight Worshippers, and they seek sigil stones for unkown purpose, often getting in conflict with knights. We should treat them as enemies. - alchemist replied and explained. What do we know about these moonlight worshippers? - Loknar inquired.

[5] They have chosen Ashen Moon as their symbol. When you look at the midnight sky and the weather is clear, you can see the moon shining above. Once evey fifty years, Ashen Moon, Tenath's second satelite appears from beyond, a burning rock that seemingly never burns out. They believe that it's a symbol of Aspects as well as other beings from outer realms. We don't know what their motives are, so we should be careful when dealing with them. - alchemist said, taking a sip of water. Alright, so what are we going to do? - Tyr asked drowsily.

[4] First of all, go and take some rest. You really look tired. Once we have your weapon, we'll pay sunrise knights a visit. - Llathandrill replied.

Euzaroch

Euzaroch took on the armor and left the hideout through second exit, drawing Life Leech and approaching the monster. It was a wraith - a skeletal figure in torn rags, surrounded by shroud of darkness. Upon noticing Euzaroch, it made a long and horrifying rattle, then it started burning with black flames and charged!

[Wraith: 1, Euzaroch: 2, Kallun: 4] The dark spirit completely missed Euzaroch, losing some of it's essence to keep black flames burning. When sorcerer heard it's otherworldly rattle, he immediately joined the battle, landing a few hits on the corporeal form of wraith with his trusty mace!

[Euzaroch: 3, Kallun: 2, Wraith: 1] Euzaroch attacked the wraith, stabbing it's corporeal form with Life Leech, just before it tried to burn Kallun!

[Kallun: 4, Wraith: 5, Euzaroch: 5] Sorcerer and Euzaroch charged together at the undead, but after losing so much essence, it became non-corporeal and they both missed!

Vrillith

Next day after waking up and preparing, Vrillith took closer look on the armor again.

[4] He cleaned it up, making it so shiny that he could see himself like in a mirror. Curiously, damages dealt to it with sunrise swords and his dagger were gone.

[3] Then he went to help sunrise knights with burying corpses and fixing up broken tent. They did it just well. Then he assisted them in securing that glowing stone that was floating in the air.

[4] It went smoothly - with fire and swords, they shattered it to numerous pieces and each one of them received a piece.

[3] Then they went back to the camp, to drown sadness after loosing companions in their tankards with ale. Leader of this camp impressed with Vril's battle, as well as helping them later on and said: You look like you're quite good warrior, as well as a good man. If you'd like to join Order of the Rising Sun, let me know.
