1: They have a Move stat which is how far they move in one turn.
2: MCVB debuff is random and doesn't stack, but when using it again on an already debuffed enemy it will roll one of the debuffs it doesn't have yet.

I've made my decision and if no one else joins then I'll make two NPCs to fill in a bit of the blank.

Dunno when I'll start the game proper since I still have to do te maps and sprites and this is a busy week v:

Ok I've been looking at mapmaking for spess and I think the SRW games got a nice tileset I can use as base. I can also use the mech sprites from there.

The thing I'm having the most trouble is a spaceship sprite small enough to fit. Does anyone have anything I could use?

In a room, two figures are talking between themselves. The first salutes and asks a question.

"Sir, what are the new recruits this year?"

The other figure pulls out a few files.

"Let's see what we have..."

Name: Master Ko

"Close range specialist, moves like those monks you see in films, calls himself "Master" Ko. Not bad at handling a ship too."

"He'll have to earn that in the field. Next?"

Name: Rachel Honeysett

"Former space miner, now likes to shoot. A lot."

"If she manages to hit her targets, then I'm good. What else?"

Name: Melissa Cross

"Sharpshooter for hire, contacted us for work and she passed the entrance tests."

"A mercenary? Don't we have any other recruits to resort to external work?"

"There's a couple more, Captain..."

Name: Loic Brown

"Don't know much about this one, a tough nut to crack."

"Good enough, and the last one?"

Name: Karine Arianne

"Does a bit of everything, at least for now."

"That's all? Out of all the people who joined the Army, only these people passed the tests? It's statistical bullshit."

"There haven't been many recruits in the Army either, Captain. We're going through a shortage of manpower."

"Then you should find a way to encourage people to join, dammit. Can't be much of an elite corps if we got no corps."

The first figure saluted and left the other one sitting there with a bunch of files and a lot to think.

Alright with that out of the way few things:
-Tiruin and Culise have both guided launchers, and since this is a test game I'd like as much diversity as I could.
-If Felissan wants to change a few things, now is the perfect time.
-You can make your own ship sprite from the image posted above (32x32 max), if you don't want one then I'll use a default one. For mechs and the background map I'll use Super Robot Wars for GBA tilesets.

32x32 is particularly restrictive. I had a bit of trouble putting both weapons and ailerons on my ship, so I had to go with a clustered design.

Done changed mine into an 'exploration' or science vessel-type spaceship theme :P

Due to various constraints I won't be able to use custom ships. Sorry :v

Instead I'm going to try to use simple (sort of) sprites for the units. How do these look?
