Unfortunately, since you allowed us to take the Bible out of schools and begin industrial daemon-summoning via abortion, we've long since corrupted every facet of the police, army, business, and government, as well as about half the churches. Did you know whoever programmed God forgot to define a case for a demonic force outside hallow ground just replacing the hosts ahead of time with corrupted ones? They end up doing a Black Mass without even knowing about it, crashes down the whole field just like that! What fucking amateurs, am I right?

All of that sounds completely legit, but we need a popular fad to blame it on.

The God Of Logic sheds a tear at all those who observe His creation and yet insist on reading into it signs of deitic influence that He never put in there in the first place.

No, no. Sheds a tear. Finds a place that is torn and builds a shed over it.

While the current Pope was already known to have be quite tolerant towards homosexuality, he now took it a step further. In a conversation with a man from Chile, about sexual abuse in the Church, the man's homosexuality became a topic of the conversation when he told the Pope that some bishops depicted him as a pervert. The Pope told him "God as made you how you are and loves you that way".

It is expected that the Pope will face internal criticism from within the catholic church, for proclaiming that homosexuality is a gift from God.

As is a continuous refrain with Francis, there's nothing new or tolerant about his stances. He's just aware of the church's inherent bigotry and does his best to rhetorically soften it. The RCC has been plying the "you don't have to be executed or burn in hell for being gay, but you need to feel bad and deny your true feelings to be saved" line for decades.

52.6% of forum voters are atheist. I find this perversely pleasing.

It's nice to not have religion interjected into otherwise non-religious conversations. Other than that, no biggie really.

I agree. People's beliefs are generally irrelevant in my everyday life, though interesting at times.
