TBF is referring to the rough general setup used in BMs on bay12
That is not my understanding of what he has said and of his reaction.
Particularly of note is that he never actually answered the question
It's literally in the title.
What is, exactly?
I'm rather glad we're having this conversation because it is giving a lot of ground on which to analyze TBF's game on, which is valuable given the unresolved state of MRM.
I suppose it's time I start reading everyone's past games, though I've got a feeling I already know IronyOwl's playstyle.
I'll say at the outset and before the game so you've no reason to doubt or question it later that I will not be giving out personal details, including whether or not I am busy or what timezone I am operating from. I can't imagine much could prevent me from participating, however.
I have experience in playing mafia, but not in forum mafia (having only played in real time scenarios, both face to face and online).
I have irregularly lurked Bay12's mafia subforum for an unknown (since It's been irregular and I've no records) amount of time.
My interest in a beginner's mafia is primarily to develop a familiarity with the usual flow of a game on this forum, since the meta of the site seems to have been largely prevented from stagnating by the presence of bastard games and so has not 'set' in the way the meta has in other places I have played (real time) mafia.
Because of this last point, I'm not really concerned about the disruption that confirmed clears could cause. The Bay12 meta, such as it is, does not appear to be formulaic or clockwork in any way, so I don't see why the BM games should become such a rote activity as a known and unchanging setup.
Obviously, I am also interested in developing a history for this account so that I am recognizable by those hosting games here as being experienced at such I time that I am indeed experienced so, but that may go without saying.
This account is not connected to any other identity or pseudonym of mine.
I'm giving this information in lieu of a shared history from which you can draw these conclusions. It is also likely that this information will serve to assist in profiling me during play, which somewhat lowers the inability to be read a lack of personal history creates.
Fun fact:
MoonyTheHuman has been recently active on the forums, and so may have just forgotten about the game and still be able to play.
Aurnyx has not posted since november 7, and so is more likely to need to be replaced.
However, we could start the game with nine players, and even use the nine player setup advocated by TBF as used by hector. Regardless, we'll see what the host says.
