user: ufo
game name: the second space race
genre: suggestion game
link: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=161994.0
description:(i will copy the game op)
Quote
the year is 2035
you are Darren Newman an scientist working in the chinese space progam
NASA is defuct due to severe isntabilities during the 2020S that caused the fall of USA and china becoming the biggest world potency
you emigrated from USA wich now is a barren and hostile wasteland ruled by one of Donald J. Trump sons
your space progam is planning on launching a manned mission to mars
you are in your workroom tasked with analizing all the data the mission will come with
the room is composed of some computers and some simple science equipaments

Wanting a short description of one or two sentences, not the full one from the game's OP.

SANDBOX GAMES
Games wherein players set thier own goals and player creativity directs gameplay.

I'd consider this pretty much just the cooperative games category.  Not really a new one.

Here to remind you of your update decision after sleep :P

Wound up sleeping a bit late and didn't have the time to do so this morning.  Mostly done now, will be fully done after ufo gives me a non-OP description.
you are a menber of the chinese space progam do something!

I suppose I'll add my RTD.

Name: Adventure!
Category: Roll to Dodge

Description: An Einsteinian Roulette inspired game. A sorry lot of debtors, murderers, and thieves are sold by the Adventurer's Guild to Captain Timmas, who will set them free if and only if they can acquire 10,000 gold pieces through his mad excursions, or die trying.

Its possible. There was a thread about how to do it somewhere on bay12. You have to download some kind of software, but I forget the specifics. I think Elephant Parade knows more about it.

If the forum was designed for people to use notifications the way everyone uses new replies, that would work.

Far as I can tell, it only sends an email to you.  Doesn't really seem useful in comparison to just checking the forum.

...

I use the notify button all the time. It lets me know that a thread I'm interested in has updated, instead of checking for it every so often or futilely looking for it in the first few pages. Is that really that unusual?

When you put it that way, I actually want to try it. You sly bugger, you.
