Tiana looks worriedly at Jason running off, and then goes back to reading her book.

Kyle nods. He goes to a couch and takes a seat on it.

"Oi, calm down. If you keep strugglin' like that, you're not goin' to be able to breathe. And I'm not goin' to let you out if that happens."
The teacher sighs. Anna can feel like she can hardly breathe due to the pressure on her chest.

"...what happened?"

Vijaya raises their eyebrows. "Yes, actually, that would help me greatly."

"I-I-I was trying t-to make it h-here w-without getting attention..... a-and I s-slipped and f-f-fell... right i-in front of a c-c-c-cute girl... and she t-tried to help m-me up..."
Jason sniffles.

"...oof. Who was it? If she helped you up it's likely she doesn't think ill of you."

"N-N-Nobody!"
Jason is now full on hiding under his sheets from the embarrassment.

Tiana stands up from her stool and knocks on Jace and Jason's door.
"Jason? You in there?"

Jace looks at Jason.
"Maybe I should let her in? She sounds worried."

Jace can note that Jason obviously twitches. He doesn't say a word.

Vijaya raises their eyebrows. "Yes, actually, that would help me greatly."

She nods. "... Do you know where the appropriate place is?"

Jace stares at the door for a while, caught between looking out for what he thought to be the best interests of his new friend and respecting his wishes. "... ...he's in here, but I don't know if he wants to talk."

Johannes sits on one of the couches in the common room,  looking at the rest of the people who have seemingly found their groups and friends with a face of discontent. He in general just seems sad.
