The girl (Alison Sauveterre) unwrapped her scarf from her neck and held it draped out, letting Veikko see how it glowed. "Spellweaving, yep. This scarf is a spell. My headband and shirt are spells. Basically, I take spells and I make clothing out of them."

Something seemed a bit odd about that, but then it clicked in Alex's mind.

"Doesn't that mean if something cancels your magic or that spell, your clothes will disappear?"

That might be dangerous for her. It was best to point it out, just in case she wasn't aware. Of course, he did it in a way that everyone nearby could hear what he said. That perhaps was not one of his brightest moments.

Well, they'd reached the doors to their dorms anyway, so he raised his hand again to ask Ashley about the problem he'd recalled earlier. She wasn't technically a teacher, but she was close enough.

"I don't know what my "power" is. Is there a simple way to find out, or will I have to try and research it on my own?"

Selecting room mates... Shared dorms.
Alex wasn't sure he'd be very good with that.

Alison wraps the scarf back around her neck before speaking. "Alright. Yeah, so, it's a bit of an investment. I basically pour the entirety of a spell into each piece of clothing I make. Once I learn a new spell, I'll lock myself in a room for a few hours, and start focusing all of the potential of a spell and all of its information in my soul through a needle, where I get it to form into a thread form. This is the hardest part, and by far the most time consuming. Then I tailor that thread into a garment, but because it's magic thread and all setting up the actual tailoring part of it isn't too difficult. It's even easier when I'm retailoring my garments into different forms, because the magic cloth does half the work for me after it's already been completed earlier."

There's a long pause from her after Alexander's speaking.
"I... am not going to answer that."

"Sexual actions not permitted on campus at all?  That seems a bit overkill..."

"What if one has no native biological sex or associated gender?"

Johannes raises very distinct and surprised eyebrow as he reacts to Anna's response

"Well, I guess we're all here to learn. I... hmm... I'm not sure how much I'd like to branch out myself actually, I might see if I can get into surgery without relying on my magic, and lord knows being able to figure out some sort of anesthetic would be helpful, maybe learn a bit more about biology? It's been pretty ad hoc for me so far, not that I've needed to fix anything too serious of course."
He grins, lightly slapping Alex on the shoulder
"I think if the spells get released, she'll have a lot more on her mind than modesty."

"..... What's sexual intercourse again?"

"It's not like I want to, or even could, I'm just surprised..."

Alex raises his hand and asks Ashley another question. This one wasn't even caused by his unfamiliarity with the magical world.

"You say that sexual action are not permitted here on campus. Can I then assume that they are not forbidden elsewhere on campus?"

Aine smiles their jagged mouth opening and closing as they pet their horse bringing it along.
"..anyone know where a stable Is?"

"Down the hall, second left. Can't miss it."

"How many people per room? Could we change arrangements at a later date?"

"Oh, of course! Two people per room."

"Room with your non-sexually-preferred sex or gender."

"That's... not my job."
Ashley nervously chuckles.

Alex raises his hand and asks Ashley another question. This one wasn't even caused by his unfamiliarity with the magical world.

"You say that sexual action are not permitted here on campus. Can I then assume that they are not forbidden elsewhere on campus?"

"Off the record here, but many people go down to Herra to fill the urges."

Vijaya looks stumped. They look around for a bit, a slight expression of. . . desperation? As if they needed someone's help.

"Thank you Ms. Ashley."

He was quite interested in whatever his power might turn out to be.
Perhaps he'd win the lottery and be a reality warper?
Unlikely, but he could still dream.

"If you don't care about gender or don't really get it, just pick any then. Might not be something for you to worry about anyway."
He gestures to the more overtly mechanical parts.

Alison puts her hand on her face for a moment, staring at Alexander and Veikko, covering her mouth and cheeks, before said hand slides up to her forehead.
"That's one aspect of my magic I'd prefer we not linger on so much."

They look to their horse and whisper into its ear and give it a.... loving hug their eye's looking like they might tear up and their horse trots off to the stables.
"I'm Aine Aileen Ailiss everyone it's nice to meet you all I suppose my horse is named lucky."
