Tiana turns to Anna, with a nervous smile.
"Oh, it's just that you looked shocked by my question. I'm sorry if I offended you in some way. She extends her hand.
"Anyways, I'm Tiana. Who're you?"

Lyle stops arguing inside his head, having been addressed.

"Oh, uh, morning. I'm Lyle."

Shifting his gaze to Veikko out of the left corner of his eye before returning his focus to where he was walking, Alex responds with a neutral "Good morning."

Tiana turns to Anna, with a nervous smile.
"Oh, it's just that you looked shocked by my question. I'm sorry if I offended you in some way. She extends her hand.
"Anyways, I'm Tiana. Who're you?"

"Oh, uh, yeah, I was just surprised anyone would be wondering.  I'm Anna..."

She hesitantly extends her own hand, but doesn't move to shake Tiana's.

With a glance and a slight raise eyebrow, Johannes responds to Veikko in a slightly unsure tone, "Err, Johannes Jacobs, nice to meet you."

"The academy's quite something, isn't it?"
He tips his head in Lyle's direction
"So I take it you like animals then?"

It's...Quite a change from how I was previously, and that's all I'd like to say on that if you don't mind.

Although, how about yourself?"

[SOLDIER First]

The man isn't wrong...
He isn't right, either.

"Uh, yeah, you could say?"

It occurred to Alexander that there was one fairly important thing that he'd forgotten to ask Ashley about. Seeing no reason not to, he decides to instead query the people walking nearby, who seemed to obviously know more about this strange new world than he did.

"The letter I received mentioned a "Power" that I was supposed to fill out, but I had no idea what to do and just wrote "unknown." Is it where we indicate what we want our lessons to focus on, or is it some sort of "innate affinity" thing that I'll need to try and find out?"

[Kassire]

"Like, saying 'this is one hell of a place' would be a huge understatement, err" in an entirely unsure soft--spoken voice "Bayko was it? Veyco?"

With a glance over to Alexander "I'm pretty sure most of the people here sorta know what their doing with their powers? Probably?"

[Empiricist]

"I see, so, what kinda pet were you planning on getting? Something exotic perhaps?"
He nods
"That's right! Sorry, I didn't catch your name-?"

"Personally, I'm aiming here to learn more than just my own innate cold magic; cold magic is nice and all but spellweaving that kind of clothing is only going to get me so far."
