"Gonna have to pick a roommate, of your same gender, or uh, one that's sexually incompatible with you."

Aiko regards him blankly for a moment. Her fox ears then twitch as if listening to something, and she begins blush scarlet. "O-Oh. That m-makes sense I g-guess."

"Aiko, you need a roommate, yes?"

Aiko blinks, and shakes her head as the blush clears. "Y-Yes."

"Perhaps we could room together, then. I don't know anyone else but Vijaya, and they need to know more people than just me."

"Uh... sure?"

"Maybe I could room with my brother?"

So I was just lounging about on a chair or a couch or something, iunno. I could find out, but then I'd have to, like, actually do stuff. Fuck it. Who cares? I briefly look down at my tracksuit bottoms and consider trying to brush off a stain, but whatever. That'd mean moving. Who wants to do that? Not me.

Orientation or whatever was really boring, and the rule about opposite genders rooming or whatever was stupid. It just meant I'd have to put more effort into finding my roommate, which is dumb and annoying and makes me hate the school already. Or it would, but hating the school would require effort too, and they're making me do way too much as it is. Whatever. I guess I should introduce myself or some shit.

"So, like, who doesn't actually have a roommate yet."

Like, yeah, I could make that sound like a question, but that'd mean actually adjusting my tone and shit. Fuck that noise.
