Alex had been milling around in the common room for quite some time when a pretty young girl with maroon hair and bright red eyes walked in, slip of paper in hand. Looking down at it, she read out loud in a clear voice:
"Would Al... Alexander Llyod please come with me? Are you here?"Almost immediately as he stood up and indicated that he was indeed present, she turned around on her heels and bolted out the door.
He had to jog to catch up with her, as they made the winding way through the Academy's honestly extremely confusing grounds. He thought he'd be able to remember the way back, though it was more a sort of vague hope than any real certainty.
"Um, what am I needed for? Is there a problem?"Was it just his imagination, or was she trying to avoid looking at him?
"Ashley had something important crop up, so I'm taking you to find out what your power is."Oh, so that's what it was. He was actually quite looking forward to that.
"Thank you, miss..?"He was ignored. After quite some time, just as Alexander was about to try again, she finally spoke.
"Right, here we are" she said, as they stopped outside a huge set of mahogany double doors, an unknown emblem emblazoned upon each side.
"You're new here, so you probably haven't met him before... Well, this is Mr. T's office, he'll handle figuring out what your power is. He might be a bit... Eccentric, sometimes, but he's extremely good at what he does. You're in good hands, so..."With those words, she quickly opens one of the doors before pushing Alex through and shutting it behind him. For some reason he was left with the impression that his back was being seared for the briefest moment, though ultimately chalked it up to his imagination.
"That was rude of her-OH MY..."He barely managed to stop himself from swearing out loud after spotting it. Across the room, behind an empty desk with nothing on it but a glass of some sort of drink, looking quite grumpy and arguing with a small orb of light buzzing around to his left, was something equal parts unbelievable and terrifying...
"I'm telling you, I need those papers in by TOMORROW or-"Alexander liked to think of himself as a calm individual, you might even say a stoic one, but this was
not a normal situation. To make matters worse, without even turning his head, "Mr. T" snapped his visible eye onto Alex. Time seemed to freeze.
OH GOD, OH GOD, OH GOD"Oh, a visitor. How unexpected. Actually, not unexpected. You're here to find out your power. Come take a seat."As he said those words an ornate cushioned chair spontaneously erupted into existent on the other side of the desk.
