The crowd roars off in the distance like the pattering of rain.

"Tonight's match is going to be a little different," says the announcer.
"Normally, we'd place our contestants into a faithfully-recreated scene from one of our donor worlds." A giant hex grid lights up along the playing field.
"This time, however, we have a special arena..."

1 Tile = 5 meters

Moves entirely along a road get +5m distance.

Directional cover works as normal

A line next to the edge of a hexagon is a door. Doors open automatically, but you can't run through two doors in the same turn--too fast.

Each hex applies a unique effect to combat inside of it:

Turn 0C

Everyone can choose where to deploy this turn, rolling d6 for scatter distance and scattering in a random direction (you can start inside a hex). If you scatter off the map, you might suffer a mishap. Mishaps won't actually do anything...

Aim for Hex 8, obviously.

This level seems entirely disadvantageous to a thing that can't move through doors. Unless of course these doors are bigger then normal.

it falls between the hex that smells of food(8) and the hex that smells of nothingness(7).

Spore mines can enter doors. We'll make an exception for the "indoors" rule because your weapon is a barrage weapon and so it goes overhead. But the spores are still affected by damaging effects of the hexes and such.

(5) You manage to struggle free of the guards and sprint to a safe distance before tossing a knife at one! (5 + 1 = 6) The throwing knife zips through the air, slitting a guard's throat! It then travels around the group of guards like a boomerang. It (5) Slits another throat, (Three 6's in a row!) decapitates three more (!), (4) slices open the last guard's arm, and (2) narrowly misses a random bystander. It then flies back into your hand. Holy crap.

Y'know what, because I'm not sure if I can actually exit or enter hexes myself, I'm just going to change my action to drop into the safest place possible, so that I have the lowest chance of being doomed to a slow painful death with absolutely no way to survive whatsoever based entirely on my own luck.

Oh, since you can't enter/exit a Hex you won't be placed in one. I'd just reroll the scatter.

Ah, okay then, but I think I'll stick with this new placement anyway, it puts me the furthest away from other characters after all.

Since Mallos is in a different timezone (I think?) I'll wait for him and then start.

Oh shit, I'm in this round? I thought if our characters died we had to make a new one. Either way I'll abstain from this round.

You don't particularly have to make a new one since this is a test game, but it's best if you do.
I didn't want to actively kick anyone ;)

Good to know. I'll still duck out of this round though.
