: "Well, I can do blacksmithy things, obviously. Won't be much use in a fight and I'm no good at making weapons but I'm sure this castle of yours will need some fixing up after all's said and done.
In a fight I use anima magic, like this Wind tome. I prefer fire, but..." She shrugged as if to say "take what you can get". "I also...um...tinker."

"Yes."

"I wield Light magic and I am also in a quest for knowledge."

"If it's knowledge on the true divine, I can help there! Heheh." She chuckled slightly nervously.

: "I also...um...tinker."

"Tinker? On what?"

[Sirus]

Jasmine shrugged once more. It seemed to be her default form of expression.

: "Stuff. Anything. I'll try to figure out how something works. Other times I'll try to combine different things. It sometimes works."

[Caellath]

Dalaach turned his attention to Arachne. Even with the mask, or maybe because of it, his stare always seemed intense.

"What do you mean by the 'true divine'?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"The Great Spider, of course, who wove creation, and will devour it again in the coming end of days."

[Caellath]

"Oh. I see."

"Does the Great Spider have any other epithets?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"Oh, plenty!"
"There's the Great One, the Old One, the Weaver of Fate, Larini, the Eater of Worlds, the Eternal Watcher..."
"I always had a fondness for the Weaver of Fate! It's, like, totally comforting, to know we've par-" She stopped and cleared her throat.
"That it to say, I always took solace to know that this is part of Fate's plan."

[Caellath]

"I recall other entities who share a few of those epithets. I suppose that when lavishing titles upon a deity, creativity is not too necessary." he commented, .

"You sound enthusiastic about your faith. Why?"

I really hope this doesn't turn into a religious debate.

[GiglameshDespair]

Arachne frowned slightly at the jibe about creativity, but soldiered on.
"Well, maybe they stumbled on a figment of the divine truth, and incorporated it into their own cults."
She cocked her head slightly at the question.
"Why wouldn't I be enthusiastic? It's, like, the great divine. It's kind of a big deal."

Liz just smiled and watched the discussion. Maybe it would have been a good idea to dial it back a notch before things turned sour, but it was probably a better idea to get it out of the way here, rather than some time when it would prove most troublesome to be distracted.



She still needed to wait for the final guest anyway, who seemed to be taking their sweet, sweet time. Actually, come to think of it... Her smile faded somewhat as she became slightly worried.

I really hope we aren't just waiting for nothing. Only ten people have arrived thus far anyway... Maybe there won't be an eleventh.

[Haspen]

"Uhh, I axe people when paid for that." Enjald thought for a moment.

"I can also butcher farm animals and pull the plow." Blink.

"Also timberwork."

[Caellath]

"I see."

"What about your title, what of its significance?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"My title? Well, it's maiden because, well- I'm, um, unmarried, and, like, you know..." She flushed slightly and then continued on. "And it's heavenly, because I'm blessed by the divine."
She fiddled with a horn again as she continued.
"My people don't tend to use second names. People change, and so their titles should as well. If I got married, I'd no longer be a Heavenly Maiden."

[UXLZ]

Liz perked up slightly at those words. She sort of wanted to tease Arachne for some reason (probably the shyness), but she couldn't think of the right words.

Damn.

In the end, it was just a relatively standard question.

"What would you be, then? An earthly matron?"
