Evasive Actions. Fire the lasers. Lasers have no max range. Missiles do.

Also ascend. Missiles will need to use far more fuel to keep up with us as the Delta-V increases. And we have the advantage outside the atmosphere due to lasers.

Spoiler: Dice (click to show/hide)

Speeding up, you begin ascending. Smashing the little tracker is somewhat theraputic, too. You pull the trigger for the lasers three times, and beams of red light streak out from your craft. The shots dig into the ablative coating on the interceptor's prow, to unfortunately little effect. Retaliating, coilgun rounds whizz from their magnetic accelerator. While many of their shots miss, the gunner leads the salvo enough that some hit. One ricochets off the thick plating on your UFO's bottom, while two others score a hit on the middle deck, opening up a corridor to vacuum. The craft fires it's only missile payload, rocketing after you. Somewhat luckily, the warhead strikes onto bottom armor. Now you have two breached areas; a corridor on the middle deck, and the Tractor Beam's receiving zone. Not good.

Didn't we get the pilot? Can't we scan his brain?
If we did, +1, but I think they either got scrambled by the tractor beam or got blown out into space.
This is a normal discussion, folks.

Tractor being hit gives us an idea. Tractor the fighter to hold it in place while we shoot it. Do not vacate the atmosphere while breached.

Spoiler: Dice (click to show/hide)

You have a risky idea, but it should pay off. The tractor beam... The humming of engines and laser capacitors provide the background to your charge. You pull forward and down, weaving through coilgun salvos. It isn't perfect, and some still hit, but in most cases the damage is negligible. Projectiles hit the armor, causing your lights to flicker. Range is closing in, and you suddenly dart under it's belly, flipping as the tractor beam's ghostly rays peek out from their aperture. The interceptor's pulse engines fire at full power, and the lights flicker again. You won't be able to hold it for much longer. An alien hand is held over the trigger, but almond shaped eyes flick over the the scanner controls. You are faced with a choice you didn't know you'd even have. The hostile's thrusters fire once more, straining against you beam.

Can we.. Just. Sorta.. Pull them through their cockpit window with the tractor? We'll have plenty of time to recover the craft as it falls out of the sky while we detain the Subject with onboard systems.

Use the tractor beam to orientate them downwards. I doubt that even an X-com interceptor could pull out of a high velocity, low altitude, nose dive before they crash.
