Lets fit Runner with a light exo to increase its speed and strength. Doesn't need to be armored, just giving it enhanced physical capabilities.

Also here's a thought. Steal some Hooman data interfaces. We might be able to find spots with interesting samples via browsing their Global Archives.

But about that whole "not armored" thing: surely we can make some light armor. Skin and bone are both pretty light. If we use them for normal armor, the hyuumies' slug throwers would easily break through, but if we make something that's not meant to provide complete protection and is meant to cause slugs to glance off to one side or another rather than just stopping them... grab a myoooou and try that. As for how to make it give enhanced physical capabilities: make the armor a living thing. And slave it into Runner's body. The armor should have loads of super-muscles(compressed or drugged muscles) in the arms and legs, but less in the rest. Y'know, weight issues.

Be sure to test it out after creation. Occasional food as rewards, as usual.

+1 Lets field test our soldiers. Find a remote homan 'science' center and use the soldiers and tractor beam to strip it dry of resources. Most of it will not be usable in any actual science, but it will let us know more about how holmins operate, and the limits of thier intellect.

I'm curious what our end goal with these modified human hunters are.  If we're going for mass production, that'd probably mean cloning, a cost effective method of arming each clone with cybernetics ( or finding organic alternatives to cybernetic enhancements that can be grown in tandem ).  But what would be the advantage of such troops?

Yes, they have feline predator instincts and likely superior physical attributes due to neuromuscular adaptation, but I'd have thought that their main advantage would be they would be pretty indistinguishable from normal humins if trained properly, and given trench coats or something to cover up enhancements. 

If we're just going for physically powerful shock troops, using species other than these stupid bipedal hominids would surely be more effective.

The ever-burgeoning 'Hunter' project needs some improvement? What about an organic suit of armor? The idea seems sound, so you look for proper biomass. The 'Rhino' would seem to be the best choice. Most of these creatures are kept protected, for unknown reasons, but you manage to snag one from outside these zones. Converting it into an exosuit... is problematic. Chunks of flesh are sutured and stuck together with bioglue, or attached with Durascalum braces. Life support, oxygen systems, and nutrient ports are installed, in addition to the neuroplug in the back of the 'helmet'. During unhuntered testing, it seems that muscles are regularly torn, and the synthblood has minor rejection issues. The advantage to this is how to suit is organic, and self-repairs when in storage. All in all, decent armor, sort of slow, but a huge terror factor.

The hunter itself does fine with it, making the most of it's limitations. Once inside, movement control is a non-issue, although it dislikes the experience of entering the suit. In addition, some height difference problems appear, with the Hunter disregarding the increased height, and thus running into doorframes.

For the moment, your plans of raiding a data center are put on hold for new toys perfectly scientific machinery.
