Well my general character idea and indeed voice is pretty fixed now: it's inspired by two Cormac McCarthy characters, a psychopathic black bear with a lasso, and a country-influenced song about whiskey messing up all your relationships. Just a bit more trucky.

Big Bill:
Now, lookee here. Big Bill ain't big, and he ain't named Bill. His name's actually Jimmy, but everyone round 'ere just calls him Big Bill, on account of something a truck stop stripper said ta him once. But that's a story for a'nother day. He may be the runt o' the litta, but he's still a tough son ofa bitch. That boy can Lift, like nobody's business, just never ask him to do it too much: those little arms ain't made for lifting. He ain't much one for getting into a tussle, but he can Fight if ya make him. But don't ask him to Drive, last time he tried, the truck ended up in three different fucking ditches.
Still, he can Fix fucking anything-after he breaks it. Or one of his big brothers does, growing up the youngest of the bunch meant he always had to be Tough as shit to take a beating. Now, between all those beatings, he learned him some Religion right and good: the Crab Goddess teaches us to turn the other cheek, 'cause that's how you wind up to lay out a fucker who tries to shank you with your buddy's claw.

Lift/Fight/Drive
Fix/Tough/Religion

How's that shit look?

Well, nevermind. I was thinking some of the crabs could be physiologically different from each other, like anatomy, structure, adaptation etc,
Ideally, I'd like there to be no "normal" crab

Okay Big Bill, here's what I think.
The truck can store scrap such as metal poles, sheets and girders of varying thickness. You can get em as scrap from yards and across the wastes (abandoned labs, factories and enemy vehicles. Those places are probably densely filled with enemies that call it their lair.

LOOK IN THE INFO POSTS FOR MORE ABOUT SCRAP!

TO NEWCOMERS: Hi if you're interested, please don't run away, we are very nice crabs looking for cool friends to be awesome with.
Feel free to make a crab, perhaps desert ranger, crab shaman, or godzilla crab, I don't know, anything really, just put some stuff down from your head to the thread and we'll have a look.
Almost any genre and design of crab is okay, as long as it can be gritty and/or slapstick and have well-fleshedness and rich aroma that speaks to all.
Here are some ideas for new crabs:
computer hacker dealie type crab. Maybe he can do ELECTRIC crab, neutralise enemies and use gadgets/robots
Ice wizard crab frost shaman: does jets of freezing cold and icicle spears GEORGE CAN DO THIS. RITE?
Desert Ranger Crab: has some sense! power and good with creatures.
Monk Crab of the Crab Goddess: has some psychic! powers as well as cleric/priest style stuff I THINK XANTALOS GOT THIS OKAY?

lawas you said this was gonna be good but I didn't realize it was going to be this beautiful!

I'm in like a damn ... I dunno, crab eating another crab or something. Point is, here's a character concept, coming straight out of a mixture of one of my friends, my recent viewing of Scarface, and the general brand of mentally unhinged psychos I let loose in nearly any forum game I find myself in.

Roberto 'Mister Baileys' Curio de Kumquato de Xantaloficago Al Dente Fettucine Armageddon de Cocina de la Long Huang Xing Shangsheng Leprás Burgonya Meowington Fergus

Call him Bailey, it's easier. He's been around the block, many that might not even exist. He's ingested such a vast quantity of crab drugs throughout his lifetime that he's obtained a rather notorious reputation in seemingly every occupied settlement of sapient beings on the mortal plane - if there are more than three people in a room, odds are at least one of them has met Bailey in some way, shape, or form.

The accounts of him vary - sometimes he's an amateur opera performer, sometimes he runs childcare centres, other times he sells human meat he found in a back alley to their unsuspecting relatives. One thing that remains constant with every sighting of him, however, is his ridiculous fighting prowess and tendency to go off on a whim - his temper is mercurial at best, and can be set off by something as little as a green cardigan. He studied crab karate, he claims, up in a remote mountain range somewhere he ended up in after a particularly rowdy drinking session. Ended up staying in this monastery for like ... he dunno, four hundred years? Or four hundred seconds? Too high to tell. Either way, he obtained an uncanny skill in hurting things from it. Also like totally rad martial arts shit, like the whole unnatural strength, speed, reflexes and stuff deal.

Bailey's also really good with knives. He apparently worked in a kitchen for a little while and got bored, and now he collects the damn things. Keeps them meticulously sharp, cuts random things when he gets bored, which is easily, and gets a dangerously gleeful look in his eye whenever he's holding one.

He also takes drugs constantly. His body is more than likely half drugs in mass at this point.

For skills ... I'm not quite sure how the custom skills are supposed to be arranged, but I know the three main ones would be Fight/Lift/Drive because Mr. Baileys never passed crab driving school.

"Big Bill" Jimmy
Beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous and music to my eyes.
What themes has he got? How does he dress? I currently seem him in a technicians's overalls, like what gas-station folk wear, but it ain't pretty. Does he wear glasses? I see him like a little squinty midget in navy or orange overalls and just flipping people over from below their line of sight :p
Overalls aren't really Big Bill's thing. He much prefers simple denim blue jeans with extra legs and a greased t-shirt, along with some heavy duty work boots. If he's dressing up, he's got a pair of multilegged slacks and a clean white shirt folded as nicely as a crab can at the bottom of his kit. However, he only wears that for Crab-Goddess Church, so most of his shirts have 'witty' jokes printed on them, overwhelmingly about scripture. He doesn't need glasses, luckily: he'd probably sit on them within a day of getting them.

Does he have a ranged or projectile weapon? So far no one in the team has much capabilities like that except Terence's lasso. Maybe we'll get one soonish.
Ranged weapon?
The fuck is a ranged weapon?
You mean, like, a sheet of scrap metal, that Big Bill throws at a fucker who called his mom a whore? Yeah, he can do that. Guns are for pussies and people who can't pick up an entire truck.

Fix
How or why? What is his attitude towards it. Does it make him happy to fix broken stuff? Does he whistle cheerfully as he gets to work?
Giant wrench or spanner(for combat?) Welder with torch? Maybe he can chew bolts and nuts and spray it like bullets. I dunno. Just give him some cool shit, like a toolbox with some crazy varied stuff in it and you'll find some shit on the road too. Maybe using a tool as a gun (nail gun?) or weapon is a good idea. Maybe he can cobble stuff together.
In any case, he can make use of junk and scrap and modify the truck a little lot tonne and repair it/stuff very well.
In fact, he can probably overhaul the truck overnight with the right parts maybe.
Specifically I want to know this: What kind of specialty does he do? Is he a metal man? Electrics? Electronics? Robotics?
Now, when you're one of the only people in town who did some learning, you're expected to step up and help everyone out. It don't matter if you've got a head for numbers or the inside of truck, there's taxes to do and cars to fix. Charging for that sorta thing is just unheard of: someone or their momma still better bake you a pie, though. Not doing a little something in return ain't right. Big Bill just happens to be good with cars, and carries a bigass red toolbox with him wherever he goes. He says he took it off a Ruskie he beat up, but no one believes him: everyone knows that Old Man Henderson gave it to him after he fixed his car after Young Henderson took it for a joyride. It's got everything a crab could need: wrenches, screwdrivers, wirecutters, even a small claw-welder. It's heavily dented, after all, he does use it (unwisely) as a weapon.
Big Bill's just plain good with engines. He can make a toaster go 0-60 in 10 seconds.
Tough
I see toughness like being hard-bodied, he can wade through enemies and take a few bullets. It also suits him to being launched like a projectile.
I think this is a good option, but maybe it can be expanded in some way, like making enemies attacks bounce back on them?
Nah, if someone's going to get hurt, it better be with his claw. Each time they hit him, he just gets tougher. He's been beat plenty, and this time ain't no different. He can take it.

Religion
My favourite. He will definitely get blessings from the Crab Goddess. I see Big Bill/Jimmy as being somewhat bashful persona, and the Goddess loves the meek. Maybe being battered by his brothers made him a little humbler than most. Goes with Tough and maybe he can pray for temporary invulnerability and he can quote some scripture or something? Just a little flavour here and there. Does he use a crucifix, rosary or devotive?
If he gets blessings from the goddess, consider how it affects his other powers: Will he gain a burst of superhuman strength? Does he go berserk? Get super tough? Fix things miraculously or is guided to do so?
The Crab Goddess has got bigger things to worry about that a little old crab, just doing his job. She's gotta keep Jibbers Crabst, the firebreathing lobster who lives behind the rings of Saturn, where he belongs: behind the rings of Saturn. He ain't done much worthy of Her bothering for him. He don't need no blessings, he just doesn't want to disappoint Her. He's got Religion to help inspire him and the other truckers, ain't nothing magical about it. He doesn't wear any religious symbols, 'cause She sees through them, and he ain't exactly the freshest smelling of people. He does keep a little shire to Her, which he lavishes any remaining money on-after it goes to the truck, booze, strippers, and blow-and not necessarily in that order.
Lift
What kind of lifting does he specialise in? There's pushing, flipping, throwing, wrestling.
His small size means he can get under stuff more easily, but unless he's very wide, it might give him a small disadvantage wrestling larger-than-normal creatures.
Yet it might also give him precision in targeting and locking enemies limbs/joints (there are all kinds of enemies and they have wildly differing body shapes)
His option seems to be to get under tight gaps rather than exerting leverage. It fits with the repair stuff quite well, squeezing into gaps or whatnot.
Now, I may've said this before, but he ain't the biggest crab, but that boy can Lift when he needs to. It's all about huge moves with him, so much so that it's practically a Throw. It's easy to pull a small crab off you, but what about when that small crab picks up a piece of your truck and fucking throws it at you?
Fight
Give him some weapon or tool. He won't be as strong as Terence "Motherfuckin'" Johnson but he can hold his own quite well. Give him some accent, accessory or tool, fighting style or technique.
The toolbox is the weapon of first resort, but he often quickly scuttles off, and comes back with a small dumpster over his head, which he throws at anyone who fucks with him. And if all goes to shit, he's still got claws like anyone else.

Drive
Fair enough, he can keep it steady and all that jazz but we won't ask him to do the tricky stuff. I see him peering over the wheel and struggling to reach the brakes :D
He'll never admit it, but he's also just plain old not allowed to drive, he ain't got a license. He's deadly afraid of the cops-not breaking the law, just the cops. When yer drunkard of a dad was the town sheriff, you get some mixed messages about cops. He ain't one to run from them, or do much of anything 'sides curl up in terror.

Okay Big Bill, here's what I think.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I WILL THROW ALL THE THINGS

Use your imagination and be a crab that the Crab Goddess sent into the world as her trucker, to make sure everything goes alright. Big Bill seems like a humble sort of person and genuine nice guy. If you want to make him mean as coot but deeply caring, write it like that motherfucker.
Now, the Crab Goddess wants Her children to be big as the ocean, strong as the wind, crabby as She is, fast as the current, and hard as a rock, but Big Bill's only got the last down. He tries to be strong, but the kid gets tired fast. He'll never be big, and he just ain't got the cajones to be grumpy all day. He never can complain with the pros, which gets him down, so he tries to not complain, lest someone beat him at that game. All he's got left is to go fast, and make those deliveries.

Am I missing anything?

Everyone should bear this in mind: The RP and anything narrated is the real thing, OOC is practice/planning and setting/style.
Whatever is written down in IC is concrete(ish).
Everything here is just ideas with no bearing unless it gets narrated in IC.
Things can be changed IC or OOC whenever we want for whatever reason, just be sensible before committing things to writing/script.
Keep reworking a scene till you're happy with it. It's a great writing exercise and social thingy. Make it perfect FOR YOU.
Choose whatever you like and I'll try to write it in.
