On reflection I think he'd wrap the lasso around him and it would confer a lucky charm on him, protecting him from enemy bullets and so on.

Terence's dancing is very sultry - charming neutrals and distracting enemies with his swaying cowcrab hips. And then busting out an unexpected motherfucking backflip to dodge enemy blades and shit.

So I can't make up my mind about my las ability. Current skills:
3. Drivin' Angelica (name of the truck) like a boss
2. Punchin' in faces (a martial art that depends on smashin' in faces of your foes against other objects)
1. Liftin'
3. Nerves hard as a motherfuckin' tank.
2. (Needs a name) Skill about fast reaction to his surroundings.

Maybe he has some conditions for activating properties of the lasso? Alcohol or gas are common, and you will come across scrap. If you want other stuff, there can be opportunities sooner or later.
If you wanted to add some power later on that didn't seem right in the beginning, for instance, you need to write in a scene where he develops, like "Terence lays down wrapped in the lasso and weeps gently, tears swallowed up behind his huge beard. He trembles until he get a shot of alcohol. Then he goes deathly still and remembers... le romance... Martha's kiss... under the stars ...he looks at the lasso and it sparkles in the sun/moon light. From now on, in sun/moon light (you can change time of day by resting at inns/motels, but there are deadlines for deliveries) he will wield special powers with it.

So as a specialty I choose drivin' maneuvers. Am I right that I still have 2 more custom skills?

Ok, so I have an idea for his last skill. I don't think he would sing while drivin', cause it would kind of break his appearance of a tough guy, but he does have a thing for music, so what about Natural musical talent.(?)

can be changed. I suggest something like Crab on hot steel tin, like he's got a fire under his ass and needs to concentrate hard in an emergency in response to danger. Maybe Crab in a hot fucking steel truck but it can be used outside the truck too obvs.

and one more
A music skill.... harmonica work for you? It's quite simple so it's likely to get picked up by Crab truckers.

Dodging... I can make Steely Nerves make lesser blows bounce off you... Tbh you're better off making the truck dodge :p :p
Some kind of escape option works well.
Terence has his lasso, for example.

Sounds like a good running joke for drivers to hit stuff (serious and non serious events :p)

EDIT: Maybe George can have a soothing lullaby voice
For the other thing, maybe think about how you want George to move around/to/from/inside the truck during foot combat and driving combat

That sounds like a very sensible lasso modifier.

I can imagine Terence absentmindedly running over quite a lot of cows. Driving through the long lonely night, remembering the last time he saw her face... Tears running down his crabmanly cheeks, the milky way stretching across the sky, country music playing softly on the radio, the hum of tires on tarmac... BAM! Cow bits fucking everywhere, all over the windshield. Terence swears to hide his emotion and headbutts the steering wheel in a display of crabmanliness, the horn blasting apart the midnight silence. He gets out and kicks the remains off the road and lights a cigarette. The cab light shines red through the bloodied glass.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

CONSTANT REVISIONS. ANYONE CAN HELP AND CONTRIBUTE.

Hi guys, just to let you know, I'm going over shit, revising it, making it neater and adding some stuff, all over the goddam thread. Don't worry about it if you read something and it disappears: just PM me with thoughts, questions and/or ideas. Otherwise if you're bored and unsure, look over the thread a little. At this stage we only have 2 people, so nothing is set in stone (as they say) but feel free to share discussion in this thread etc.

FINISH AND POLISH
I know everything looks a bit messy and disorganised. A bunch of +1s everywhere :p
We'll see what things are REALLY important and/or vital to both your characters and the game, and will probably embark with a few skills
Choose a specialty in your best D/F/T and another 1 for your custom skills. These are your character specialties and basically your team role
You also get (and should design) a special, unique item or weapon, clothing, style and voice. RP is FUN.
Crabs can have any powers, they pray to the Crab Goddess and have access to unlimited strength, power, energy and magic.
Technology is a treasure of the wastes, cities and ruined factories/bases and we are expected to expand our repertoire as we go.
Advanced Tech stuff is good but kinda rare so plan accordingly. Scrap and Junk is somewhat plentiful.
In practice, we start off with a few stuff and pick up more powers, weapons, ideas etc on the road, praying to the Goddess, after missions, as rewards etc.)

I think a sniper crab would be a good character to have on the team too. And a mechanic. Also, in one of them spoilers, does a crab rip his own arm off just to show how tough he is?
