General advice, make sure that you make your fort werebeast/night beast proof/resistant as soon as you can get a convenient setup for that. I had an early game werelizard attack. Murdered my entire fort when the next werephase happened.

Also, how would I assign a *stockpile* on a different Z to a tavern?
Create a meeting zone over the stockpile and assign it to your tavern.

It seems like you can largely ignore keeping dwarves happy now.  They basically never tantrum and/or go nuts anymore.
