Upon conference, I think I'll change Liz to use standard chargen rules instead of changing her character skill to something other than potential (because Pass honestly isn't that interesting and I don't want to steal other's gimmicks.)

Any objections?

if anything this will make her weaker. It's basically trading a character skill for 5% extra growth and 4 stat points. >_>

Then again, I don't like any of the (non-taken) free skills except potential and despise every cost skill in the game so it's okay. \o/

As much as I love Liz (writing her dialogue is super fun) I'm wary of slipping into a DMPC-issue filled pitfall. If she goes same-turn as the party, but I control her it could be a bit... Hm, I suppose I could try to not move her until a day or a PC post is up. That makes a degree of sense.

Well, if other people want it that way I'll do it, though.

An allied phase is pretty much going to be an extra line of text.

Personally, I'd prefer her to be way more towards the NPC rather than GMPC end of the scale.
Her specific skill doesn't have to be all that interesting, because in battle she doesn't have to be.

Ultimately it doesn't actually matter all that much.

In regards to Inido's bow, I'd probably prefer he say something like "I usually prefer longbows but the last one I had snapped in half after a cupboard fell on top of it. This is just a little piddly one until I can find a replacement. It won't shoot as far, but on the up side I won't need to aim as hard."

Basically, you can make it plain that he's accustomed to a different sort of bow, but using the "flavor" line of reasoning actually creates a bunch of problems and other justifications to begin with. Like why Inido can't shoot as far as he can with an actual longbow.

"Wait, you're asking me to shoot that? I can't even get an arrow to travel that far, let alone land it on target!"
"You... You said you had a long bow. That thing's in range of every other long bow I've ever seen."
"Well, it's technically a long bow, but its poundage is... really low because I may or may not be a weakling that can't handle the big boy bows..."

Yes. SC knows me well enough (along with Swordy and a few others I believe) to know how I'll play my character in basic steps :3

Well, I don't really like playing other people's characters, and I can't even begin to English the way Tir does, but I guess I can give it a shot after I get home.
