Only got AirLand Battle, and I'm far too cheap to get Red Dragon.  :(

Good series, though. I quite like the long engagement ranges, and the logistics of it. The troops run out of stuff to fire quite quickly, and you'll need to get the supply trucks over, without getting horribly murdered on the way. Hiding infantry along enemy reinforcement and supply routes is a nasty little trick.

Plus, lovely unit chatter. "What are you wanting for, kiddiewinks? Breakfast on the bed?"

Yeah, supply gives it another dimension. Especially if the enemy can interdict your supply units :)

Also, you missed a sale where you could've gotten it at $12 :( I'm sure it'll be back on sale soonish :)

Still ain't worth it at 12 baksov, I'm afraid. Maybe a fiver or so, at most. It might just be me being a difficult miser, but it feels more like an expansion pack. The naval battles looked like a draw on paper, but it's so arcady that it undermines the whole (relative) emphasis on realism. But then again, it's what usually happens with games with multiplayer I enjoy. Some expansion pack with ambitions above its station rolls out, and I don't want to cough up the dosh just for the multiplayer's sake. It's a me-problem, that's what it is.

I nabbed it on that sale. Been looking at the whole series a few times as it's cropped up over the years, so getting 3 games for $15 was a pretty cool deal. Been playing ALB nonstop for about 4 days. I spend 20 minutes playing a game and the next hour tweaking or rebuilding my deck. Honestly, the deck building is more fun than the game for me.

The supply is really interesting. I started out using MLRS spams and quickly realised two very important things:

1: The missiles are inaccurate as crap at anything above their minimum engagement range (about 4km I think for the ones I was using, way too close for me)
2: They eat through ammo supplies like it's their job. One MLRS can decimate the resources of a fob before anything else interesting happens in the battle

They're fun to use (seeing all those flight lines is glorious) but they're too expensive, both points wise and resource wise. I stick to regular old arty now, and even tried mortar trucks on occasion. They do they job just as well, if not better, than missile trucks.

You can cancel artillery bombardments midway through with a forced move command. Don't have to blow all the tubes on one shot.

Just had a super great MP game with Anvilfolk. It was super close but we won in the end via timeout by being a few points a head.
