Is it possible to use the Boon Invisible, Sustain it as a Minor Action, and then use a Major Action to do a Bane at an enemy? That would make the Evasive Footwork a bit pointless, if I can just stay invisible whilst running away.

You only get one major action a turn, casting a boon counts a Major. You could go invisible, sustain it, then run away.

I would note, just because you are invisible, doesn't mean your enemy won't take a swing at you if he hears you move near him, or has a good idea where you were when you 'vanished'. Evasive Footwork is still useful for that, unless you have a way to reliably mess up the enemies senses as a combo effect.

If I use the Defend action, I can't use the limited Banes/Boons Jao can use?

One of:
1/ Could I take Skill Specialisation (Influence, 3pts) to add a further +1 to Influence? On top of Supernatural Focus? Is trying to Phantasm someone a non-attack roll?

You can defend anytime, but it eats your major action on the next turn.

Also, supernatural focus doesn't seem to exist anymore, but what the Hell, you can keep it. And they can stack. I would consider boons/banes non attack rolls, yeah.

@Jao: When you use a bane on someone it's a Bane Attack. So Skill Specialization won't help you out there. (Editing this after I came back to this post that I left half written. I guess overulled by gm here, so it does work.)

@Dwarmin, unless I'm missing something and you're talking about something else, Defend is a Interruption action, isn't it? Not focus.

My mistake, yeah. Defending eats your next major action.

Anyway, I still consider any action not doing direct damage as a non-attack.

Well then I will take Evasive Action for survivability. Is it worthwhile taking Influence from effectively 6 to effectively 7 in terms of using Banes? If so I will take Skill Specialisation Influence please.

Then next time I will start learning Garlish Rituals and Holy Hallucinations!

Btw, some notifications you guys should be aware of.

~Evasion/Endurance has become Guard, and it now defends against almost all attacks. Toughness and Resolve for physical and mental health.
~Armor only contributes to Guard, and instead of specific pieces it has been separated into tiers. I've given you all armor as high as your fortitude bonus allows.
~Shields only help with defense actions now, essentially allowing you sacrifice your next turn major action to block an otherwise successful attack on you or an ally.
~Moubu is still dirty.

I'm going to upgrade Alteration from 3 to 4 and then from 4 to 5. Using a total of 9 attribute points leaving me with 1 in the bank. Then I'm going to buy Attack Redirection for 3 feat points, leaving 2 left over.

Moubus a real mago now.

Dwarmin I'm not sure how much you're up to date on all the sheets but you've given me Defensive reflexes instead of Evasive Action, which is what I think the avoiding AOO whilst running away requires.

If I understand, I can use Influence with voice only, but will roll 2d8, and gain an extra 2d8 to add to my roll and drop the lowest?

Does Influence also count as Power Level 6 then, or 5?

And (this is partly for my reference so I've relooked at the list) I can Charm, Disarm, Dominate, Fear, Immobilise, Incapacitate, Memory Alter, Phantasm, Truthify.

On the Boon side I can Aura-ify, make Darkness, or make Invisible.

Plus briefly planeshift and shoot arrows. And speak Froggish.

You got it right mostly. You only roll one extra die for every point of advantage, tho, not the whole set.

So 3d8, drop lowest.

I notice there's a "flying" feat for 3 points.
I was tempted to get it just for the power, but thematically...
Maybe next level or something.
