God damn it I did it again.

Also, noting that I think the game is great too, I'm just feeling slightly inadequate as far as post quality goes >.> I think this whole "absentmindedly talking to self" thing is becoming an actual tic because of my typos :V

Do it if it helps you out. :3
I wanted to poke you when you did post it and I saw it happen, but I was too busy.

You guys are goddamn awesome, you know that, right? I'm very much a 'happy when other people are happy' kind of person, and guess what, I could use some happy right now. It's late, I'm tired, but I'm going to be tired regardless, so I might as well spend some time doing what I love.

It's not a big update, and I did 0 editing, but you're now in two groups of three with the ability to time extend your conversations pretty freely. If I get snips of time I'll update NPC dialogues as needed. I feel sort of like S-s-senpai moth right now. Except with more dread.

If you want added boop to your nose, I know a good waitlister who's all concerned and :D about the game that we've been talking about it and stuff on discord. x3
So have another happy: Don't doubt yourself and your prowess--your players are like other people; if you've doubts, just bop us on the OOC and we'll give you our honest ideas.

Also I'm SERIOUSLY THINKING that this one merc ship whom I've no idea about but feel familiar with its context (ie Al-Loy connection?) seem like a GOOD deal. :I
That, or that 'one' guy is a walking nuclear bomb and would go 'yo, I blow up dis ship unless you say m'kay, kay?'. But I doubt it, heavily. :V

That said, the happy when others are happy is also me. :P Empathic joy!

I'm a little late for the Go Draig Go train, but yes to all that. I was going to tell you to take all the time you need and restore your energies, but, err, doing what you enjoy (big-ass updates) is good too.

+ Note to self: Equip 'away team' with video feed and otherwise than just verbal/textual communicators. Sadish could work on these given our stuff :<
++ Note to self: Upgrade Scanner system as soon as able to be pretty much *nicely, conspicuously encrypted*.
+ Note to self: We're probably seeing the remains of the 'proposed deal' team as told by the cat that Khate just painted on the wall. At least one of them anyway if I've to assume a 4-person team is that...team.

- Do not panic. Personally, I'm all biased because of that prelude. :I IC-wise, panic is connected to uncertainty. Kesari's curiosity is being itchy at a place she can't scratch, so that uncertainty is really niggling at her thoughts. But panic shouldn't be the solution.

* I think we should hear that one ship requesting ONE MAN to dock :V It can't get any worse than a failed mission anyway!
And that's pretty much me being IC in the OOC. :P

I kind of want to shoot down the shuttle out of sheer paranoia. Let's blow up Varkonius' ship while we're at it. We can comb through the remains for our prize after.

I kind of want to shoot down the shuttle out of sheer paranoia. Let's blow up Varkonius' ship while we're at it. We can comb through the remains for our prize after.

And on the same turn, we find out away team actually got captured trying to blow up Varkonius's ship, and the person that they put on the shuttle we just blew up was Scarlet. They were testing how trustworthy we were, and we failed.

*shyamalan twist*

Yeah, I'm all for just blowing everything up at the moment, too.

I don't know what to do. I want to run, but I think Aubrey would want to run some kind of scan on the ship's systems, see what we're up against, and not get psyched out by the IC knowledge of Varkonius.

But then - we have to assume those other mercies were as good as us, right?

We have to assume they're at least as good.

If we assume they're better, then anything we can do they will have prepared for. :P

Well we're to assume their context too. OTHER than the obvious "One-man shuttle with proposal. Second shuttle goes in only upon request to first one."
In which IT COULD BE A BOARDING CREW AND THEY WANT OUR POPCORN!!! :V [/srsparanoia]

I like our popcorn and fine dining. :<
But yeah. Draig is really making this tense when it doesn't even need to be THAT tense. XD That's good writing, despite detailing many other things, we're really reacting like first-time Mercenaries.

Yes, uh, popcorn. :P

They're gonna take out squid-bits!

...

Honestly tho, I hope I am getting the lore 'right' without annoying Draigneans headcanon too much. I'm trying to figure out what sort of food dolphinwhalepeoplethings would enjoy based on what I know/research. Apparently cetaceans have almost no sense of taste, aside from salt. I lore that as being passed on to Fins proper, in most way. Add in to their playful natures, an enjoyment of the texture of things (I think this is an apt metaphor), and a short attention span, I think I got the definition right.

This could also tie into why Draginean implied sorbet was a popular snack-Fins might also prize their food being physically hot or cold when served, to make up for their lack of tastebuds.

Not at all, the only point I'd like to make is that amounts you're giving aren't exactly appropriate for all fins.

Fins are the most wide ranging species in terms of size, and consume approximately 5 to 10 percent of their body mass per day in food. So, at the low end of their weight range (300-700 pounds, Dolphin based), that's only about 15-70 pounds of food.  The larger ones, like Sadish, (700-1500 pounds, probably spliced with killer whale at some point) can consume between 35 and 150 pounds of food per day.

In my head, the Bottlenose Dolphin is the mean, while individuals like Sadish are a bit exotic.

So, an entire 10 pound ball of squijium is a full meal for the average fin. Kinda like eating an entire bag of potato chips. You can. You also shouldn't.  Five or six at a time and you're gorging anyone but the largest end, and even then it's a going to be half of what the eat in a day.

EDIT: Sorbet melts, is crunchy, and can be done in layers, which makes it fun to eat even without much sense of taste. That's primarily the reason behind it being a ubiquitous Fin food.

I'm now very unsure if Kesari is partly buried under a pile (or at least comically having those crumbs) of squijium now, given your notes on Sadish's amounts of a 'snack'. :P
And she's all :| but in a lighthearted way.

Edit: Wot. A...our mark has that kind of indirectly-assumed roboot? O_O Woaaah. that means neurochemicals and those four dead folks died by neurochemical-tinted weaponry. Oddly literal enough, Kesari can try to hack the maid on a dare to that kind of threat...given the backstory! ._.
That said, I really think recalling the Away Team looks best. Best believe the guy when his threats are specifically non-specific.
Or hack the maid :V

Also Dwarmin, you can label the link :P

Eh, neurochemicals?
I should've started that speculative post with something like: "Could we get details on how pleasure robots are generally used?" and "Robots are still able to be aptly modified, right?"
Asking in part because certain members of our team do have qualifications in knowing about these that are NOT Boris, Kes, or Sadish, because I just noticed the sore lack of video feed communication. :x
