I just realized that we could have probably just summoned one of those memory-wipers from MiB (or something more kid-appropriate) and solved the "our best friends are suspicious of us" problem. If only we could go back in time and...

Oh wait, we're a Scribblenaut figment-user! Summon a time-machine, go back in time to when we accidentally recoiled in pain, and mind-wipe the event from our friends' minds. Then mind-wipe our time-travel and the mind-wiping of our friends from our past-self's mind to preserve the timeline. Finally, use the time machine to return to our normal time and dismiss it (the time-machine, not our normal time). Then go check out that alarm.

I'm sure that casually messing with the timestream won't have any negative consequences. Nope. None at all.

InB4 it's revealed that the alarm setter-offer is our future self.

I don't have enough Essence or Energy to make a time machine, and I am pretty sure a Mind wiper might be too weak to use quickly.

I can however, make the Shotgun fire sleeping shots instead of Normal ones.

My fly enters the convenience store, discovering a robbery by some teenager in a suit of plants, wielding a flower like it is a weapon, he demands goods instead of cash, soft drinks, snack foods, lots of things someone young and out of control might want.  While the desires are mundane, the means by which he plans to fulfill them are not, brandishing the flowery construct with dangerous intent, his yelling gives the impression that he does not care in the slightest.

It is a dangerous situation.

I decide that my only option is to of course try and blast him with the sleep shotgun, but the pellets simply aren't strong enough, I try every part of the armor, try everything in my fly's arsenal in every way I can think of, and he just does not notice, eventually, an automatic plant on his armor smashes my fly without him even having noticed there was an attacker.

"Don't play &@$* games with me man, I'm the new &%&! on the block, Thorn!" he shouts at one point before my spy-fly was destroyed, the action sticking in my mind as I did not know what the words meant.

I learned little and did nothing it seems, as a second fly made from the recovered essence finds only police by the time I get it there, Police and a robbed store.  I've Failed.

Contemplate what went wrong. Learn from it.

Improve the flybot with a cutting laser.

Would we have enough essence for the time machine if we dismissed all of our other constructs?

I am firmly convinced that I could not make a time machine as I am now.

It is clear what went wrong, I prepare myself to find a problem, but did not commit what was needed to solve it.  my Dinky 1 Essence 1 Energy Construct could likely never have been a match for what was either a figment user armored in plants of his own design, or a Figment itself, in either case, vastly more powerful, and probably more skilled than me, despite him being a punk.

I add a Cutting laser and Tracking Device to the fly, which is now too large to be considered as such.
