Nobunaga abruptly appears between the two men - though safely to one side, he wasn't that foolish - with a stern expression. "Enough, both of you! I do not particularly care what started this squabble as regardless of its origins, in the midst of a populated town is not the time to settle it by combat! Save your energy for fighting the opponents we were brought here to fight; you dirty your own concern for those that you left behind by acting so reckless and foolish."
"Hmph!" He moves his hands apart and the sigil seems to disappear in a burst of wind.
"If it pleases you, student of Taoism, so be it. I will admit we could have chosen a better place to spar in, but he who knows not his allies' strength nor his own shall know only defeat.">"Look, do you want the tomes or not? Just outright, if you could have them, would you have them? Because you can have them right now, if you just go there, say a few words and pay up."
"I told you, I'm not going back there!" Angelo shouts.
The period of silence afterwards is tense, but no-one in the vicinity seems to want to break it. Suddenly, a new voice appears, as smooth and handsome-sounding as can be, but twice as dangerous.
"So."A new figure suddenly appears behind the tree. The knight holds his shield up defensively, as Angelo takes a step back, hand glowing a faint purple. The newcomer's aura is palpable, choking, almost. Just being clad in blood-red armor, every movement of his joints creaking hauntingly, makes him an imposing figure. Add his height, the crown of ugly thorns (that seems to be making him bleed even now),the slasher smile, and the absolutely massive sword, nearly as large as he is, and he becomes positively frightening. His very presence demands prostration.
He lifts the too-big sword up at the knight with jarring casualness.
"These are the people you choose to ally yourself with, O, valorous knight." He flinches at that.
"I expected you to be able to at least choose better. Oh well."The "valorous knight" seems to be trying to say or do
something, but he seems to be quite hesitant. He glares at the newcomer.
"Who are you? Are you friend or foe?"The man chuckles darkly, before pausing.
"... Hail to the king."
