"Alright, boss, orders?" Reserti looks at Ratodx, "You want me to knock or one of the lizards?"

"Orders stand as I last gave them. We wait til the software works and we can understand the vampires. Shouldn't take long now. Stay on alert, they're almost certainly aware of us right now."

The group sits around on its collective arse as they let their technology attempt to translate the chatter of Undead.

Oddly, the PDA appears to be having trouble parsing the language. It seems to detect several different dialects of completely unrelated languages rather than one common thread of language. Fucking vampires.

It's gonna need a far larger sample size, ideally sourced from the speakers directly rather than listening in on a group of people speaking to each other with distorted sound from angle, auditory anomalies, and distance. It can Partially translate as is, but it'll be a bit primative till it gets that sample set.

Ratodx reviews the data as Mako has presented it.

It'll do. Though...

"Mako, let's see if we can use the drone here. We'll toss some empty sample bags in the air some, away from the window, to see if there's any winds or anything, or to see how it differed in the dead zone. Once we do that, try to get the drone hovering just above the window, going up by the side of the building so that it doesn't go into where the vampires might see it. Keep it as quiet and stealthed as possible, and feed to audio input into the translation software."

At this point, Reserti has an arrow already fitted to his bow. He tests the string out of force of habit and is ready to sight, aim and draw in a heartbeat. The arrow would have to be aimed slightly to the left to counteract the archer's paradox. He listens into the conversation, trying to make out anything that sounded vaguely elvish.

Ratodx crumples up a sample bag and tosses it in the air.

It.. Doesn't come back down. In the dim light it appears as though it got caught up in an gale and flew off.

Huh.

Vhan peers into the darkness. An occasional orb of Light can be seen drifting daintily among the treeline. They're pretty.. Almost Urging you to go after them..

Meanwhile, the group has a lizard knock on the door. There is no answer. However as the lizard begins walking away, a light 'click' can be heard. The door swings inward, revealing a long dark hallway. Torches flicker within, held by what appear to be stands of blackened armor. Each stand appears to hold a polearm of some kind. Predominately halberds, large axes, and hammers. You are uncertain but there may or may not be inscriptions on the armor. The distance and lighting makes it difficult to tell. A large wooden door is visible at the end of the hallway.

Near the entry door, the group can see a small bin. A scattering of shoes fill it. Many different makes and styles, all handmade it appears. However only left shoes can be found within the bin. Odd.
