Everyone who went Terraside returned by Dinner time, presumably you all had some more dinner soup bars, this time there was no way you could fuck up as the only cookware you have left is the waterboiler. The Microwave still needs it's papers processed to be replaced.

The bed, for those who have never slept on a 25th century commercial civilian bed before, are like literal clouds. When you've spent your life sleeping on stones or hay or whatever the damn hell you savages sleep on, getting into a real bed for the first time after shower and just snuggling into the blanket is the kind of heavenly bliss that knocks you out instantly into the most restful slumber you've ever had. Ever.

Morning arrives, those who have a habit of waking up early does so, Amadou being one of them no doubt. You've two hours to have breakfast, get washed and dressed for the post-adjustment briefing and crash-course in weapons safety and explosive handling. If schedules are followed, you should be mission-ready by this afternoon.

Ratodx wakes more rested than he's felt in a long while. Thankfully monkey screams didn't follow into his dreams, just pleasant lightning filled carnage and destruction.

The next day, while all are present Amadou delivers the cards and mentions the payment. He explains the concept of fiat money as opposed to gold and silver, and mentions the prices for some basic items.
"So the money they pay us is only usable to buy things from Akras, at least until they manage to get other people to recognize their system. Eh, it's not like anyone else has goodies comparable to what Akras can provide, at least for now anyway."

Ratodx goes on to shower, eat, and prep for the upcoming day of learning and probable explosions.

Before going to attempts to drain the life from all lesser lifeforms in his designated sleeping area. Every bit counts. He then takes a shower.

After waking up the next morning he will do another area life drain, shower, chokes down his nutrient paste, and heads to the briefing so he can be there at least 10 minutes early.

It's best to show you're motivated.

Dexter wakes up late, and has to rush to shower, eat, and gather with the rest of the group. His appearance makes this rather obvious.

"Wait. That was warm water. Coming out of a nozzle on the wall. With no wait time or needing to prepare it in advance. And it felt really good. And there's apparently enough of these for everyone in Akras. It's expected for all of us to use this daily. For cleanliness." Ratodx has a look of shocked wonder on his face. "What else have I not noticed because of that monkey business?"

Ratodx begins speaking and mumbling to himself faster and faster."They have enough food that we're all given a week's food in advance, and that's three meals daily with room for snacks. They have quick and clear communication of information within minutes if not seconds, regardless of where you are in this massive building. About everyone is armed with not-magical weapons more powerful than most any I've seen, including some magical, and easy to use explosives that even healers can bring with them. You can have your body wrecked, but as long as you're still alive, not even breathing but alive, they can cut you open, fix it, seal you shut and it not hurt at all. And it can't even be a hoax because we've all seen it and experienced it ourselves. It's how we even came here. It'd be more work to set up a hoax for this than to just build it. By the God."

Ratodx clears his throat and looks around a bit- well not sheepishly, because they don't have sheep, but the local equivalent. "Sorry. Had some time to actually process how different Akras life is. The possession was a bit consuming."

Everyone presumably arrives at the post-adjustment briefing, there are many, many rooms and they're taking in a squad at a time per room. Since yours came early, yours were one of the first to get inside.

The room itself is very clean, very white, almost everything is shiny and polished. There's chairs for everyone, in front of each chair is what looks very much like a thin, smooth and adjustable collar. Except for the lone chair in the center facing the television, which is probably for squad leaders.

Spoiler: room (click to show/hide)

Once everyone is inside, the lights dimmed somewhat and the screen flickers to life, revealing a suited man with lights shining at the camera, keeping his features hidden.

Spoiler: Man (click to show/hide)

"Hello, Auxiliary Gate Team. Take a seat and put on one of the tracker collars, then we may begin." The man said in deep, serious voice.

Seems kind of strange, but it's not like I have a choice. . .

Dexter hesitantly puts on the collar

Ratodx gingerly picks up the collar and then inspects it for obvious injection areas or anything of note. He sits down and then puts it on, because the order of the orders, regardless of what he sees on the collar. Explosives? Some sort of death runes? Meh, it'll take time before the Boss's Bosses are in a position to trust Gaian level personnel. One Entity encounter probably isn't enough. Whatever kill switch they have in this will be their insurance til they can afford to trust us.

(EDIT: Amadou remains for the meeting, but will leave weapons instruction in the hands of qualified personnel.)

After not finding any new news about the transports, Amadou returns to the room and starts setting up for his experiments.

Look in the magic books for a soul-channelling glyph, marking the page to show Khaiden. Scan it, and set them up on an image editor to be tweaked.

Make paper boxes only large enough to hold 25 roaches each. Put a gauze with ether in the roaches' jar and transfer them to the paper boxes. Put the boxes in the jar with the gauze.

Use a syringe to squirt ether into the monkey's face though one of the cage's breathing holes (I'm imagining an acrylic box with holes and handles) to put the monkey under, take it out and shave its belly before returning it to the cage.

Wait for the others to return.

Reserti sits and idly twirls the collar around his finger before asking, "If I may ask, what do these things do, exactly?"

Look in the magic books for a soul-channelling glyph, marking the page to show Khaiden. Scan it, and set them up on an image editor to be tweaked.
There are.. Lots of runes that involve moving souls around. Frankly there's more runes for that then there are spacial directions. The book even says a number of them are intended to be drawn 'At the same time, in the same spot' however the fuck that's supposed to work. You have a feeling Khaiden would probably grasp the concepts far better seeing as how moving souls around is his specialty. But really. From what you can tell. Occultism tends to involve a lot of odd spacial geometries with its runes. Even notes On said runes will often have oddities.

..Did that letter just move?
