Danh holds back the urge to yell at the filthy soul eater.
Keeping himself somewhat calm, he says, "Pretty sure the boss decides what happens here, necromancer. When're we actually gonna head off and do this?"

"Sir I urge you to reconsider. They are worth more alive than dead and we need them to lead us to the Vampire."

Vhan tightens their grip on the contraption in hand and clenches their jaw

"We want to break their faith, not abuse it. If we say anything that supports their faith, even if to abuse it, we're actually saying that their faith is right in some way.

In the morning, Danh. We want them to see us coming.

We are more valuable than they. We talk and be friends, or we win and who tried to fight dies. We'll try to convince them, but if they refuse and try to fight we kill them until they give up. Humans are just like that, if we do less they won't take us seriously."

I'm with Amadou. We need to completely dismantle their faith if possible. It will only lead to them thinking that there is a higher power than Akras, which is kinda the opposite of what we're trying to do.

[Kuma]

Vhan loosens their grip, looks to the floor, and lets out a sigh. Vhan then looks back up at Amadou

"Sir, yes sir. I will need to be provided with grenades, sir."

((How many Ballistas are there?))

I also agree with Amadou. I think using their faith against them will backfire on us later. Killing those who won't submit is probably for the best. We don't want them to undermine our efforts during the mission.

"We'll see about getting you the grenades.
Look, I appreciate that you would rather not kill them, and that you can actually slow them down. I too don't want deaths. I'm a healer, my job is to heal people, not kill them; my plan is to awe them into submission without anyone getting hurt.
Unfortunately, when humans fight they won't be stopped with half-measures; we have to beat them until they are unwilling or unable to continue. The sooner they are horrified and terrified, the less we have to kill."

"I understand Sir. I must play the role the clan needs. I will locate their armory and if they haven't taken up arms yet I'll rig it to collapse. It'll make it harder for them to fight back. One grenade per ballista should be enough as well sir."

"What will my role be?"

"It was a metaphor Khaiden. See in my clan you did what was good for the clan. You did the job that was needed, we worked together. You didn't have a choice in the profession you end up in. I was forced into trapping at the age of three. This squad is in a way my new clan."
