"Change of plans. There's no way we're getting out that way. We need to hunker down in here."

Get. That. Door. Blocked.

((Whoops! Didn't even notice you posted, Greatness.))

Onwards to safety! Any zeds in the way get a barstool to the face.

((I'm thinking about changing the Health Square system, and I need your advice, since it seems pretty important. Should I keep it to 1 HSQ=2 hits, change it to each one being a block of a certain amount of Hit Points, or just go with Hit Points?))
The Outbreak: VI
Location(s): Safe Room, Fortune City Arena, Silver Strip
Time Remaining: N/A
Music: None

Joachim looks around the safe room, each eye glossing over the sterile stone and cool steel composing the area, before coming to a calm conclusion, "...I gotta get out of here, I'm gonna go fucking bonkers.". He looks around for any exits, making sure to stay away from the sealed off doorway that let him in. [Auto-Success (Small Area)] There is one other way out: a ventilation shaft down a stairway over by the Security Room. As soon as he makes steps to go over, however, he spots someone seemingly guarding the stairway. He is wearing a guard's uniform, and has his arms crossed. He is an older man, with greying, slicked back hair and a goatee. Joachim raises an eyebrow and walks over to him, and the man then proceeds to stop him. "Hold on. Are you infected?", he asks, his voice gruff and stern. Joachim shakes his head and, as a point, uncovers both sleeves to show no bites on his forearms. "If you're going to save some more people, or getting supplies, go ahead. Just don't get infected or bring any of the ankle-biters back in. We've had enough of an outbreak already.". Joachim nods and sighs out a "Right.", before walking towards the vent. He climbs in, and looks to the only exit...

--->Royal Flush Plaza

As he stares into the growling faces of the Undead, each one snarling and clawing at the air in front of their prey, Samuel Ashwood and the older lady he helped save earlier on prepare to slam through the area. Ordering her to stay behind him and stay close, Sam holds his barstool up before wading in, taking great strides to beat out as many as he can to get to the door. [A/D: 6 v 3. Zombies Killed: 6+1=7] The first seven Zed in front of his take the brunt of his assault, the heavy wood and the large man combining to form a strong enough smack to kill them. Blood splatters out of their broken skulls, and they are down. The lady stays next to Sam, as more of them start charging. [A/D: 10 v 7.] [(Horde) A/D: 18 v 1.] Zed pile up around them, each one sending down claws and bites. Most of them pile around the old lady, biting and gnawing at her, until she is buried by an onslaught of Zed. Sam, meanwhile, is attacked by a Zombie grabbing him and trying to bite at his neck. [Struggle: 3 v 4] Luckily, Sam throws it back away, but not before a smack knocks of 1/2 of a Health Square.

Cassandra has died.

From the stare alone, scared and traumatized at the sight of the spilled blood, Chuck knows immediately what happened, and sits down. Katey, able to tell what happened from her father's actions, also sits down, Chuck hugging her as she does. James looks back at the door and says, "Uh, change of plans. There's no way we're getting out that way. We need to hunker down in here.", to which Katey looks up and asks, "But can we do anything for Mr. Anim?". James looks at her with sympathy while Chuck, being the caring father he is, explains why they can't go back for him carefully and delicately. James sighs, grabbing a chair and propping it against the door. [13] The chair-icade works for now, but they need more weight to hold off the Zed. Outside, [A/D: 17 v 20] [A/D: 2+2 v 16] James hears Anim gasp before what sounds like random flailing hitting the walls echo into the room. [A/D: 10 v 2] James then hears Anim start yelling, a bite clearly sinking into his flesh. Anim attempts to run into the room, [Struggle: 9 v 2] but a Zed grabs him just as his hand bangs against the shut door, sinking it's teeth in. James still hears the thrashing and yelling, but it's clear that Anim has little time left before he begins walking the earth as a Zombie.

Explore the green room for an alternate way out. An air vent. Anything.

"Shit."

Welp, the old lady died. It was within my predictions. Will dispense justice upon the zombies later as her revenge later. Break through the zeds. If I can circle around them or something, do that. If not, use the barstool. Get to the Safe Room.

((Since LaShawndra's found at the beginning of the game in the Royal Flush, I'll put her in, but she'll be an NPC for now. If that's alright, that is. Also, I'm officially starting 72 Hour Mode. Missions, due to my GM whims and laggy Wiki pages, will be pulled at random on any one of the three days. Psychos and Survivors will show up at their locations, but their times will change. If you want it to be more accurate, go ahead and tell me.))

72 Hour Mode: 72 Hours Remaining
Location(s): Royal Flush Plaza, Fortune City Arena, Fortune Park
Time Remaining: N/A
Music: None

With the clatter of a vent crashing onto the ground, Joachim Nix crawls out of the vent to find himself in a room. While not small, the pipes and equipment surrounding give a claustrophobic attitude to the area. Walking around, Joachim notices some red stairs leading out to a hallway. Three doorways were in the hall, one leading outside the hall. One had a sign with a wrench on it, and the final one was bare. First, he enters the wrench room. Inside is a workbench with [Equipment Check: 13] some nails and a baseball bat on one of the shelves. Saving that for later, he looks outside into the main Plaza to find a coffee shop. Zed litter the area around the Dark Bean, some assaulting a survivor on the counter. A big boned black woman, she is kicking the Zombies away rather then being scared by them, saying, "Get the hell away from me! Gordon better be sorry he ever left me.". Seems a supply trip is now a decision.

[A/D: 16 vs. Auto-Fail] As the death rattle of Anim White hits the ears of everyone in the room, save for Katey as two paternal hands hide the grisly fate of Anim, James looks around for anything they can use to escape. [Spot Check: 12] He sees a ventilation shaft, but two things stop him: A. It is a normal shaft, so it's much too small to crawl through comfortably, and B. It's unknown where it leads. He looks again, calmly checking every corner he can. [Spot Check: 14] He sees a grate peeking out from behind the couch, that could support all three of them, yet still unsure of where it leads. James opens the grate and looks in to see a winding tunnel, seemingly leading outside. Crawling in, he holds a finger up before looking out the vent to see an outside area.
----> Platinum Strip

With a sigh and a simple, "Shit.", Samuel Ashwood grips the barstool tightly before swinging it at the Zed surrounding him. [A/D: 1 vs. 6] He misses his swing, the weight of the stool causing a foot to slip as he walks forward. He is now near the door, though Zed surround both him and are pressed up against the entrance. For example, [A/D: 20 (Crit) vs. 13.] a Zed walks up behind him and bites him before smacking him against the glass. He loses 3 1/2 HSQs, and is now infected. Though he is very close to the door.

"Hey, uh, lady, I don't it's a smart move sticking round here for too long. There's a safe house nearby. I can take you to it."

Wait for lady's reply, kill any zombies getting close to me.

((Hmm, well, since Fish hasn't made a character, at least yet, I guess I could swap you around. I was thinking of upping the player count to 4 as well. Let me message Fish on the Wiki Warfare: Cataclysm Discord and see if he wants to make a character. If so, I'll up the limit and PM you when he and SN41C die. If he's too busy with other games, I'll up the limit and you can join in next turn.))

You've been given the go ahead. Pick a color, post an action, and...survive?

Signal Katey and Chuck to start coming through the vent. Take in the surroundings.

Begin to step away from the zombies, request that the man help find Gordon.
