Spoiler: The Opportunist (click to show/hide)
Still room for one more?

Spoiler:  The Doctor (click to show/hide)

Ah, I knew I forgot at least one thing. I intend for the game to start where the actual Dead Rising 2 starts: at the beginning, right when the TIR Outbreak happens. So there's no apocalypse, and since it's not a spoiler as it happens at the beginning, the military's coming in 3 days as a result of said outbreak. You can either edit your backstory or not, they're both quite nice characters. Just something that slipped my mind, and thus I wanted to address.

Didn't even notice the edits, sorry!

Anyway, the Opportunist, James Vancoy, is approved, and is our 3rd Survivor! However, S34N1C, you aren't out yet. See, I realized that if we're gonna have players entering as survivors, why not keep anyone entering in as a Survivor? Basically, I'll set up a waitlist so that new players can be entered in as they please.

So, everyone ready? Cause if you are, I'll type up the beginning shortly!  :D

EDIT: Before I post the turn, how many of you are going to be at Terror is Reality, or watching it? I would like to know, to see how much of the beginning to show to your characters.

((For some reason, I couldn't find a Fortune City Arena pic, but Googling will give you some better insight, so...enjoy. Also, a link to the intro so you guys can see how the game actually looks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYK0p8sdmCI))

Introduction: Welcome to Terror is Reality!
Location: Fortune City Arena
Time: 9:30 PM

The Fortune City Arena. Bustling and bright with lights and sounds like that of a baseball game, with the same amount of screaming, deafening fans who can't wait to see what they paid for. Stands upon stands of seats and bleachers surround what looks like a BMX half pipe, as spacious as it is beautiful with shining, shimmering floors...about to be painted with blood. Yes, this was no ordinary sport, but a game as cathartic as it was brutal: Terror is Reality. A game show where the dead rise, and then fall again with blood and body parts splattered around the play area. In the stands was one Joachim Nix, a large sweater wrapped around his body as his left and right were flanked by screaming fans ready for carnage. After the tragic events in Willamette, Joachim could only hope that Zombies could still feel pain, so that they would feel the same cold lifelessness he did as he remembered his losses. Also in the stands was a man in quite expensive attire, his outfit being an identifying mark as to his wealth...or at least the wealth he stole from others. His name was James Vancoy, and he too was ready to see violence and bloodshed. In the back, however, were more spectators, crowding around TVs so as to see everything. The event was broadcast throughout Fortune City, and while on the beat, a vigilante who's name was unknown to the public, turned to check on the event to catch a glimpse of any potential problem areas. Though no one knew his name, he himself could enunciate the words, his name being Samuel Ashwood. As these 3 people checked on the proceedings, each with a different motivation, they were all drawn to the lights and sounds.

Suddenly, the lights brightened slightly as an announcer's voice came on from the intercom. "Zombies took our Willamette. They took our Las Vegas! But tonight, America, we're going to get a little payback!", he said, his voice bellowing through the speakers like the voice of a booming giant. At the mention of Willamette, Joachim bowed his head a fair bit, blinking away a few stray tears as he tried to focus on the proceedings. A door opened up in the floor, as four figures on motorbikes were elevated up. "Welcome, everyone, to Fortune City, Nevada! America's entertainment playground!", the announcer continued, as the four were brought up fully. They were all in jumpsuits, one red, one blue, one green, and one yellow, and none of them had their helmets on. What was interesting were their motorcycles. They appeared normal...save for the pair of chainsaws bolted onto the motorcycle, each one active and revving. The fans were all screaming, pretty much begging for bloodshed at that point. Pyrotechnics went off at that moment, to signal the beginning of the conquest. "And now it's time for America's most dangerous game show! It's time for..." he continued, as the fans began to speak along with him. "Terror is Reality!" they all bellowed out, as the atmosphere in the building got very riled up and loud. More pyrotechnics went off to entice the crowd, before the announcer continued. "And here's your host: Tyrone King!", he said, before everyone turned to an entrance way. Rising up from a platform came quite the extravagant character: dressed in a suit and tie, with a fancy jacket and a cane in hand came the familiar visage of Tyrone King, who held his arms out to signal the masses as to his arrival. He also wore sunglasses, perhaps to give a "cool factor" to the proceedings. With two lovely ladies, one blonde and one brunette, behind him, Tyrone stepped forward a fair bit, before holding his cane up to his mouth, obviously a microphone as he speaks. "Well America? Are you hungry for a little terror? Because tonight, we're gonna give it to you! I've been poking these zombies all week, and man are they pissed!", he says, before laughing a bit as more cheers began to rumble through the stage. "Our contestants are almost ready. So let's send them a little message: You've gotta be willing to risk it all, if you really wanna...", before holding his microphone out to the crowd, who responds with "WIN BIG!", as more pyrotechnics go off. The contestants throw on their helmets, and as the sound of the engine revving makes the fans go wild, it's time for the carnage to begin...

James watches intently, hoping to see bloodshed. He's here the same reason the majority of the crowd is- violent entertainment.

((https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYK0p8sdmCI, continue on to the gameplay if you want to see Chuck's perspective. I'm also adding Initiative, just to focus things a little. I got a bit turned around while writing, so that's why the kills are wonky. I'll figure it out by next time, however.))

Introduction: Slicecycle Derby
Location: Fortune City Arena
Time Remaining: N/A (TiR Time Limit: 2 More Turns)
Music: Terror is Reality

3...2...1

The countdown rings out as the sound of engines ring out, each contestant throwing on their official TiR helmets before pressing down on their accelerators. Joachim watches, his eyes focused on each competitor as Zombie after Zombie begins to pour out onto the field, the mere glance at their rotting flesh causing him to scowl in hatred. Turning his gaze back to the competitors, he focuses back to every poster and standee, trying to figure out who everyone is as the competitor in yellow begins charging towards the horde of the undead. [Identify: 3] [Attack/Defend: 19 vs. 5. Zombies Killed: 20+5=25]  The sheer excitement at the carnage, and the hatred of the prey about to be slashed and diced apart, has combined to make remembering the names of the Zombie Killers hard to recall. Luckily, there's a scoreboard where the countdown was, allowing him to see the names of each competitor. Red is Kristopher Bookmiller, Blue is Anim White, Green is Leon Bell, and Yellow is Chuck Greene. "Seems like Chuck should be the one in green, then.", he muses in his thoughts, before Chuck revs his bike up to a horde of the Zeds. Each Zombie in his way is sliced and dashed apart, either slashed in half as their tops and bottoms separate in a bloody arc, or mutilated as odd angled chainsaws meet rotting flesh. Soon, the scoreboard notes that Chuck now has 500 points, with a kill count of 25. The crowd cheers at the carnage, including James and Joachim, the personal vendetta on the undead helping his enjoyment of the gore. Speaking of the Zeds, a few of them begin shambling to the other riders as they drive towards them. [Speed: 18] Some of them speed up, and reach [Target=3=Anim] Anim as he begins speeding up towards the horde. [Attack/Defend: 16 vs. 11. 2d4=6 Damage] Anim gets a gash in his suit, but thanks to the padding of the TiR jumpsuits, his actual body is unharmed. Wouldn't be a popular game show if the humans died, now would it? Kris also charges towards a large horde [A/D: 6 vs. 7] but narrowly misses as the walking dead appear oblivious to their near re-death. The crowd boos at that event, but Anim turns back, a fresh scratch now torn into the arm of his jumpsuit, before driving up to get revenge. [A/D: 20 (CRIT!) vs. 1 (Crit Fail). Zombies Killed: 6+1=7x2=14] He slashes through another horde, all of them once again either being bisected or dismembered as his point count update with 280 points, with more blood and bone painting the floor. Leon, the killer in green, also revs his engine up, as he drives up to some more zombies. [A/D: 14 vs. 14.] His Slicecycle drives up to some more of the undead, only for to miss and spin out slightly, stopping in place near a ramp as everyone jeers at the lack of bloodshed, save for one or two lucky swipes...

((In Game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYK0p8sdmCI. Zombie Mob Killing: Result of D20+Zombie Defense. If you guys think it should change to the Attacker's Offense, let me know! I'm considering it. Also, I am open to suggestions on the ratio of Turns/Time. So like, 5 Minutes each turn, or something. It'll be quite appreciated.))

Introduction: Bookmiller, White, Bell, Greene
Location: Fortune City Arena
Time Remaining: N/A (TiR Time Limit: 1 More Turn)
Music: Terror is Reality

As more thunderous applause breaks any remaining silence with vigor and energy, each contestant swerves around with their Slicecycles, the chainsaws still revving without any sign of running out of the fuel of slaughter. As the purr of the engine echoes through the arena at a speed and volume that can only hope to rival the legions of fans, Joachim looks down to the yellow clad biker Chuck Greene, and begins a chant in his name. "Chuck Greene! Chuck Greene!", he begins repeating, leading a sizable portion of the crowd to repeat his name over and over in a loud chant, with an unseen smirk appearing on his face. Chuck then swerves towards a group of Zombies shambling towards the competition at a slow pace. [A/D: 5 vs 12] Chuck's Slicecycle veers off a bit too far, however, as he misses the horde and merely drives up the ramp.

The Undead don't attack anyone, as their shambling runs aimless to all the noise.

The red clad Kris also rides back towards the undead, his chainsaws running wild as The Zombies turn to the noise. [A/D: 17 vs. 14. Zombies Killed: 12+14=26. 520 Points Gained] As the teeth of the chainsaw slash through more Zombies, the crowd goes even more insane then before, as those who weren't chanting Chuck's name begin repeating, "Kris Bookmiller! Kris Bookmiller!" over and over to give praise to the man now in first place with 20 more points then Chuck.

Anim turns back to see the crowd going insane over Kris, and speeds up towards the Undead, hoping for some quick kills. [A/D: 15 vs 13. Zombies Killed: 19+13=32. 640 Points Gained. Total=920] Blood squirts out over the area as more and more dismemberment takes place. From Zombies being ripped in half, to the Undead losing limbs, to some even being broken as they slam into the ground at high speed, it's no wonder Anim kills enough to get shunted to first place, with 920 Points being a hard value to beat.

Taking that as challenge, and with nothing to lose after botching his first attempt to kill some Zed, Leon swerves back towards the Horde, before accelerating towards them with a thunderous roar of his engine. [A/D: 6 vs. 17] Unfortunately, he botches again as he swerves away from the Zombies, causing him to spin out, with him attempting to park his bike before anything bad happens. [Balance (d10 Struggle): 10] He not only manages to grip on with little to no difficulty, but he regains enough control to make another pass at the Zed. [A/D: 14 vs. 4. Zombies Killed: 11+4=15. Points Gained (and Total): 300] He slashes his way through a group of around 15 Zombies, the sound of their torso separating from their lower half in a gory display of intestines and organs causing the crowd to yell out for Leon.

Samuel, watching from a TV in a window at the store From Fortune City with Love the Silver Strip in Fortune City, looks at the carnage, and prepares to write it off, before it goes to a crowd shot. Curious, he attempts to see if anyone in the shot matches the description of any crimes. [Identification: 4] Due to the quality of the TV, and the crowd shot panning by too quickly, he can't make any faces or descriptions out, and even if he could, the Arena's over at the Platinum Strip, so they could make a getaway.

Speaking of criminals, James simply watches the carnage unfold with a smile on his face, ready to see more blood as the timer signals the last big stretch...
