Or maybe...

Entrenched Front:
10u Medicine
10u Rations

Core Front:
10u Medicine
10u Rations

Shadow Front:
6u Components

I say we don't save anything for now, until we have a Major Success on every Front and things are looking up. If we properly take care of all these issues the pressure on the fronts will be eased immensely.

Been watching this for awhile. The GM has confirmed that we can't win them all. Unless they're lying and there really is an optimal solution the make everyone happy, we should probably be trying to maximize success in two operations, and minimize failure in the other. Thus:

Entrenched Front - Prison Camps
4 components.
8 medicine.
8 rations.
(If the prisons break down, the prisoners could escape. This seems a priority.)

Core Front- Refugees
2 Components
8 medicine.
8 Rations.
(Keep the refugees alive for now. Fitting them comfortably can come a bit later.)

Shadow Front - In Plain Sight
4 Medicine.
4 Rations.
(I wouldn't want to risk too much here, but a token effort is fine.)

If we save anything in the future, components seem a good pick, as they're used in just about everything.

Edit: I've changed my mind about the shadow front. I moved the two components to the Refugee Front, and added the Ration/Medicine I put in reserve before.

I largly agree with Person's distribution, though we can only save one kind of resource, sadly, so we have to choose which to keep and which to add to Entrenched/Core fronts.
As far as shadow front goes, I'm not sure about giving them components though. It might seem strange to the enemy if the scarcest resource is the worst guarded. Perhaps save them instead? Of course, I could just be over thinking this.

Yeah, I agree with what you say there. I've made a couple changes. Also I was wrong about how conservation works so I'm not conserving this time around.

Week 3 - Resource Allotments
Entrenched Front
  • 4u Components
  • 8u Medicine
  • 8u Rations
Core Front
  • 2u Components
  • 8u Medicine
  • 8u Rations
Shadow Front
  • 0u Components
  • 4u Medicine
  • 4u Rations
Week 3 - Results
Entrenched Front Results
The prison camp administrators are reporting decreased prisoner deaths in their sectors thanks to building repairs and the ability to treat and feed prisoners. In fact, prisoner quality of life (while still quite low) has gone way up. Apparently, the government is hoping that this will help relations with various foreign powers.
Entrenched Front: Major Success.

Core Front Results
In the report submitted by the various governors overseeing the largest refugee influxes, you were informed that the components were quickly used in in creating large amounts of very ramshackle homes for the new refugees. Unfortunately, the amount of housing that could be constructed with the given components proved to be too low. Crime rate and hospitalizations, among other unpleasant statistics, are rapidly increasing in the areas holding large amounts of refugees. The food and medicine are luckily keeping things from spiraling out of control, so your higher-ups have decided to chalk this one up as a "Neutral Outcome" for classification purposes.
Core Front: Neutral Outcome.

Shadow Front results
Despite having a severe lack of the most potentially useful resource, the Intelligence agency was still able to make some use out of the resources sent their way. You read that although they lost the components, they were able to identify and subtly neutralize some minor enemy agents. Though the agents were low enough rank to be more or less useless as prisoners.
Shadow Front: Minor Success.

Week 4
The fighting has still been at a relative low recently, though the quiet is expected to end fairly soon. Meanwhile, Logistics Command has tasked you with various foreign relation-related requests to capitalize on the opportunity given by the success at the Entrenched Front. Components are once again at a low this week thanks to various refugee housing-related requests that went over your head recently. In fact, you're very low on resources this week due to the low priority of your current assignment. Logistics Command isn't expecting too much, thankfully.
  • 6u Components (Supplies used to repair ships both in drydock and in combat situations. Also used for land building construction maintenance, both civilian and military.)
  • 10u Luxuries (Civilian luxuries not particularly relevant to the military's interests.)
  • 10u Medicine (Various medical supplies used to treat a large range of ailments.)
  • 10u Rations (Rations. Y'know, edible things.)
Entrenched Front - Preferential Treatment
The State department has asked for some aid in cities near the Entrenched Front. These cities have high amounts of foreign populations and apparently, your government has concluded that if these people seem well-treated enough, they may just get some leverage in diplomacy with neutral powers.

Core Front - Relocation
The recent conquests in this front have brought to light a couple hundred thousand total civilians of the opponent. The government has decided to relocate them back into enemy territory in what's both a display of power and humanitarian gesture. They've requested supplies to make sure these trips go smoothly.

Shadow Front - Bribery
Intelligence has not been doing well recently. Their latest ploy involves using resources to bribe some nearby powers in poor economic situations. They plan on adjusting what they actually do based on the resources, but the basic idea is to gain the goodwill of those in power via shipments of resources. This can be in secret or done publically. Logistics Command has informed you that you may accompany the resource assignment with a small phrase to indicate how you feel the supplies would be best used.

Hm. Maybe a 3-3 component split would have bern better between the first two. Ah well.

6u Components (Supplies used to repair ships both in drydock and in combat situations. Also used for land building construction maintenance, both civilian and military.)
10u Luxuries (Civilian luxuries not particularly relevant to the military's interests.)
10u Medicine (Various medical supplies used to treat a large range of ailments.)
10u Rations (Rations. Y'know, edible things.)

Entrenched Front - Preferential Treatment
Components x 2
Luxuries x 7
Medicine x 3
Rations x 3

Core Front - Relocation
Components x 4
Luxuries x 3
Medicine x 3
Rations x 3

Shadow Front - Bribery
Medicine x 4
Rations x 4
Send it to those most in need, even if they aren't necessarily allied to us. Make it public.

With the events of last turn, dealing with the migrants seems a priority. Making the entrenched front happy should help as well, though not as much. I hate to neglect the shadow front, but aiding our enemies so directly along our actions on the other fronts should make them reconsider fighting us some.

Edit: Anyone else got something to say? I don't want to just play this by myself ya know.

Sounds good; I really would like to save some components but not sure we can justify taking any. We could probably strip a couple of units of luxuries from relocation, though, and assign them to shadow instead in exchange for an extra unit each of rations and medicine - not sure how much use they'd be in mass transit. Obviously, though, the luxuries should be bribed in secret, but I'm not sure we can mix and match.

Week 4 - Results
Entrenched Front Results
The supplies sent to the Entrenched Front this week meant mixed success. While the luxuries and other supplies have definitely helped, the Alliance has faced external criticism for its attempt to hide the problem, according to the leaders of some entities. They accused the show of aid as just a "sham" that diverted luxury supplies instead of needed food and medicine to the Entrenched Front. Yet despite this, attitudes have improved thanks to the food and medicine (and to some degree, the luxuries) that was sent over. Just not particularly by a large amount.
Entrenched Front: Minor Success.

Core Front Results
The relocation went extremely smoothly. All of the documented willing participants were safely brought over the borders, and no harm befell them or the escorting fleet. According to your contacts, this has led to some rumors surrounding the start of secretive peace talks. But this is all rumor. What is known is that this move was seen as beneficial to both relations with the enemy and neutral nations. Approval of the current administration has skyrocketed and diplomacy is becoming more of a player in this war.
Core Front: Major Success.

Shadow Front results
Another failure was reported by the Intelligence liaison this week. The public display of goodwill shown via the food and medicine sent to other nations barely got any public attention, and even attracted some controversy. Citizens have criticized the government for not caring about their own people and some riots have even started in more needing sectors. After a disgruntled (ex-)employee of the Logistics Department leaked documents displaying this was an Intelligence operation, the government publically announced the temporary shutdown of the Intelligence Department. Furthermore, they also announced a plan to drastically change the Logistics Department to prevent "further subversive activities."
Shadow Front: Extreme Failure.

Week 5
As part of a temporary measure before the planned reshuffling of the Logistics Department, your division will be assigned very few resources. Logistics Command is still approving of your work, but the Executive Department has simply chosen your division in particular as a scapegoat for the recent controversy. Next week will involve a lot of fighting, apparently. From what little information you've received from outside the Logistics Department, you can tell that the military is planning on using the small amounts of influence gained last week in conjunction with existing forces to make another push.
  • 4u Fuel (Fuel used to power Alliance ships, aircraft, and ground vehicles.)
  • 4u Components (Supplies used to repair and construct buildings and ships in any situation - drydock or combat.)
  • 4u Rations (Rations. Y'know, things that one eats.)
Entrenched Front - Supply Lines
Some problems in developed supply lines have forced the military to seek alternate measures. Their supply lines are now mostly manned by a motley assortment of broken down ships forced to travel long routes without any stops between their destination and origin point. The military is requesting supplies to keep these lines running until a more permanent solution can be devised.

Core Front - Spread Thin
The 5th Expeditionary Fleet is being spread extremely thin next week. The military is planning to gain a lot of ground in the next few days, but most of the week afterwards will be spent with a very stretched-out fleet vulnerable to repeated enemy attack. Supply lines will be cut off for the most part, so they're requesting supplies up-front to allow the fleet to survive for most of the week until the defense fleets arrive.

Week 5 - Results
Entrenched Front Results
Military reports indicate that the supply runs went fairly smooth. While the reports outline the loss of multiple ships as well as their crew due to unexpected breakdowns without sufficient components, and many ships being unable to continue due to a lack of fuel, the operation still is considered a success. The grounded and destroyed ships are in the minority, as thanks to the supplies sent over the rest of the motley lines were able to continue operations. At this very moment, the 3rd Support Fleet is finishing its establishment of the local supply lines. The fighting definitely could have used supplies carried by the destroyed ships, but thanks to you no battlegrounds went without supplies.
Entrenched Front: Minor Success.

Core Front Results
There were multiple collapses of the defensive lines established last week. Vessels were left unable to repair their damages after just a few small battles and were vulnerable to the next completely repaired fleet to come through. A fair amount of forces had to be withdrawn from the front lines to aid in reestablishing the broken lines in multiple occasions. The losses incurred by the 5th Expeditionary Fleet have caused the disbandment of the fleet. Fleet Command is reportedly planning on reincorporating the former ships into the remaining fleets to bolster their strengths.
Core Front: Minor Failure.

Week 6
The new Logistics Oversight Committee is starting to put immense pressure on the department. According to your contacts, they're planning on making a final decision later this week. Based on the few released reports from the Committee, it's looking fairly grim. In other news, the Military has successfully broken through enemy defensive lines. While the past month and a half of fighting have greatly worn down military forces, a recent ally has started contributing their own ships as well. It's a long shot and actually looks downright impossible to you, but it's not your position to judge.
Logistics Command has chosen you for two extremely critical assignments, hoping that a large enough overall success will reduce the pressure.
  • 10u Ammunition (Ammunition used in weapons of all sizes throughout the alliance.)
  • 10u Weapons (Weapons of all kinds - includes ship and ground emplacements as well as infantry weapons.)
  • 10u Combat Drones (Ground combat drones - used as shock troopers in both defensive and offensive operations planetside.)
  • 10u Components (Supplies used to repair and construct buildings and ships in any situation - drydock or combat.)
  • 10u Rations (Rations. Y'know, things that one uses to survive.)
Entrenched Front - Invasion
Fleet Command has made an odd decision. The majority of the Alliance's fleets are being assembled into a single Armada to make a tactical strike straight through enemy territory, at their own home system. There has been plenty of attrition to Alliance forces since you got your post, but they're hoping that the allied naval aid will make up for those losses. Every planet in this system is covered in defensive installations, both orbital and on land. The remaining ground soldiers of the Alliance will be deployed to these planetary sites to allow the fleet to focus on spaceborne targets, but are hopelessly outgunned. The enemy forces are in huge number, and if they aren't eliminated quickly, will overwhelm the allied fleet.
This is a single decisive battle. Previous offensives have temporarily cleared a path for just enough time to allow the Armada to enter the enemy homesystem without being attacked on the way.

Core Front - Expelled
The forces left in the Core Front are also planning on making a huge push. Fleet Command is apparently hoping that the offensive mounted in the Entrenched Front will draw away local enemy forces. Once they start moving out, the 1st Homeworld Defense Fleet joined by a large amount of other fleets will make a single decisive sweeping push through the Core Front. Their plan relies a lot on local support. Actual soldiers are for the most part all being sent over to the Entrenched Front, so local militias of occupied planets will need to contribute to the cause as well.
