Bio (rough lines, to be properly written later):
Orphan from Rethel; had a childhood fantasy of learning swordplay and avenging her mother. Started training some way or another, I don't know the details rn. Realized when growing up that her dream was just ridiculous, and that she should use her sword skills on more useful tasks: started going all around the world as a bodyguard for travelling merchants. Heard the rumors about "Jan" when she came to Alife, joined him because she thought of the opportunities that would open up to her if they succeeded

I haven't played in one of those yet, so I'd like some advice on my character's stats and skills, did I balance them right? I chose to put that one skill as the one gained on 2nd promotion, because it sounds like something that would be OP in the early game.

Also, @Swordstar: I think she'd be 20, maybe a bit older.

Generally hit modifiers in personal skills would be 15, rather than 20, and I wouldn't say that being attacked twice during the EP is rare enough to warrant having a steeper penalty. USEC will have to confirm for that.

In a similar vein, crit modifiers in personal skills is usually 10, not 5, and I'd say autohitting is a fair trigger for that.

Keep Going On seems fine to me personally, don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to have it at first class.

As for your progressions, it all seems fine, but I would counsel against setting any stat above 60% unless you don't get any of it from your promotions and it starts low, neither of which apply to your SKL situation. You're likely to cap SKL very early as is, and I believe SKL is going to be one of your preferred stats through both of your promotions, so that puts you at greater risk of empty levels.

Listen to this man, he speaks the truth. Overwhelmed should be -15 Hit, not -20. Critical should always be +10. I also see no problem with Keep Going On as a trainee/first PS. It only triggers if you get downed after all. So you'll only use it rarely or use it all the time and lose a ton of turns/actions being downed. Seems fine to me.

As for skill, you could get by with only 50% progression. 55% if you wanted to be certain you cap it. Promotions give you +4 Skill for a total of 9 base skill. That's a lot, and definitely does not warrant a 65% progression. Might be a good idea to dump the extra progression into some more attack or defence.


It's Thursday, which means that the game might be starting tomorrow. However I've noticed that a couple sheets lack bios and a ton of PTWs haven't submitted anything.
