That is 30 for each train, so it is actually 5x30=150, I believe, but the pivitol point is that it is 6 months'/turns' worth, right?

That sounds right. I'll double check and fix it when I begin work on the actual actions.

Part of the problem may be that I wavered over whether each point of food should feed an entire caravan or just one train. I eventually went with feeding trains as a slight self-balancing mechanic (the worse you do, the less you eat!).

Each point spent on food is supposed to be enough for a caravan to eat 1 Food per month for 6 turns/months, yes.
