Looks like we have a good variety set up already, outright traitorous players should probably keep that a secret for now, but difference to the imperial creed and being close to mutants and xenos is common among Rogue Traders.

If you wanted to roll up a Kroot I would be interested in seeing what that is like, just do not expect to be invited to parties.

Alright, I added skills, gear, talents, traits, abilities and psychic powers to my sheet. So far I think I'm missing bonus starting gear (can't be done until starting profit factor is rolled) bonus starting psychic abilities (So far trying to decide between getting mind probe and psychic scream, which would be useful in combat although probably not hugely, or picking up more communication stuff. The basic communication abilities I have let me talk to anyone within a few kilometers instantly and anyone within a few solar systems within a few hours, but I could get better stuff, linking the parties minds together, expanding my range to 20 kilometers for instant communication, that sorta thing. Hard choice since I naturally just have pretty good shooting abilities and like, an okay I guess gun?) and spending starting exp. Other then that I think my character is ready.

@GM: Which Segmentum is the Expanse located in? Is it close to the Calixis Sector (which's in Segmentum Obscurus)?

@Cript: Unless you're talking about something else, the extra piece of starting gear is actually independent of profit factor; it's an auto-acquisition using the rules on pg.272. And since your BS is high, it's worth pointing out the Astropath's starting pistol is actually crap. Example below for anyone new to the system:

Free initial acquisition examples:
CC Storm Bolter (Extremely Rare, -30 Availability Modifier), Common Craftsmanship (+0 Modifier), Single Item (Negligible, +30 Scale Modifier) = Total +0 Modifier
GC Heavy Bolter (Very Rare, -20 Availability Modifier), Good Craftsmanship (-10 Modifier), Single Item (Negligible, +30 Scale Modifier) = Total +0 Modifier
BC Heavy Stubber (Scarce, -0 Availability Modifier), Best Craftsmanship (-30 Modifier), Single Item (Negligible, +30 Scale Modifier) = Total +0 Modifier

And it seems there'll be some competition for career spots unless it's FCFS.

You don't have an Exotic skill for it though, so you wouldn't be able to hit anything .

No, the Universal Weapon thingie doesn't cover exotic weapons. For example, as a Kroot you start with the trait Exotic Weapon Training (Kroot Rifle), even though the Kroot Rifle is a basic weapon. You would need Exotic Weapon Training (Tau Pulse Rifle) to use one without the -20 penatly. . Good thing too, dem things are OP.

Actually, if the free starting item is a weapon then you must have the appropriate training upon the game's start.
